Guys don't get me wrong, we take this choice seriously, but it's not so dramatic I think. I've said it myself that opening a poll will likely create some new hurt feelings, but there was going to be people disappointed by a half-day update or a long wait time no matter what. I actually think posing that poll helps us gets out ahead of the conversation and signify that whatever we arrive at was done mindfully. Getting our patrons to think about the decision might even engender some understanding of the thought process that goes into it.

At the very least, it's made me appreciate our supporters more with all the thought they've put into the discussion and the well wishing of the project no matter what. One or two comments have actually made me tear up, in a good way. So even if it does bite us in the ass somewhat, eh. Positives and negatives.

So we're still having the discussion about the update being released earlier or sooner. Fortunately I'm one of those who, while wanting the release taking the time it needs to be completed, is also okay if devs decide to split the update.

Some people are gonna get disappointed or/and angry regardless of what they choose. There's nothing to do to about that. But as I mentioned in the poll, whatever they decide, I'm in... and besides, those devlogs and wallpapers aren't going to be shared by themselves.

At this point, I think it was a mistake to ask the opinion of the fans at all. The best option would've been for TD to pick a choice and stick to it, because whatever he chooses right now will leave a portion of the fans unhappy because he made such a huge show of making fans choose.

I know both him and GIL value transparency, but until the exibition comes out, this thread will be insufferable for the foreseeable future, no matter what.

Did I misread the Devlog that started all this debate? I think TD said that regardless of what people said, they were just going to do what they wanted anyway, they were just asking out of curiosity.

As I've said earlier, I prefer to wait but whatever devs will decide I'll support it. If it was any other update I might have opted for the split but this is THE update (update of all updates, the one that will dwarf all previous ones) so full day would be better IMO. This will make the release so much more satisfying and people won't lose anything really (patrons who pay monthly would pay anyway the same amount and those who pay on release only will only benefit, hence I will go with the highest tier once the game releases, assuming there won't be a split). There are literally hundreds of porn games for those who feel the itch and have nothing better to do, this game though is art (in fact it's better than most contemporary "art").

I really like TM's suggestion and consider it a compromise:

I say take your time and do the exhibition as a whole, but then maybe plan a much smaller update right after it, something you can knock out in a quicker than usual time period. That could vary things up a little bit.

Ultimately it all comes down to what devs feel is best because while we won't lose a thing devs might. So my advice is that if you're on a fence just literally flip a coin and decide that way. Heads for the split and tails for the huge update and if it will be tails and you will have an inclination to go again just go with your gut and do the split (or vice versa).

The difference was that Hana event and Felicia event were only loosely connected and wouldn't disrupt the flow of the story at all while exhibition is a special case.

You have to choose the fuckbuddies route with Hana instead of the girlfriend route. You go for the latter while trying to keep Mina and you'll burn your bridges with the two girls.

That's what I was afraid of, thanks. I already have an older save for the fuckbuddies route and wanted to try something different on this new playthrough.

I guess I'll have to not get involved with Felicia either. But is it possible to go that painting event as friends? I liked it and would rather not miss it if possible.

Yes, you can go to the painting event as friends, the game lets you warn Felicia you don't want to cheat on your new gf, also, currently there's no punishment for cheating either, so if you are lazy you could still fuck around with all the girls even in the Hana GF path and nothing bad will happen (yet), you can correct this mistake later on in another save file, also the upcoming update should have Hana GF route exclusive scenes, so that's something to look forward to.

Ehhh I'm not totally sure, but if you fuck up in the Hana date I think you don't get to fuck her, so you could still help Hana out and not have to get intimate with her for you Mina route, but tbh, you could still fuck around with Hana, stay as fuck buddies, and once stuff with Mina becomes official I'm sure you'll be given the option to opt out of romantic stuff with the other girls like it happened with Hana.

No. But playing the game for the first time and immediately following the walkthrough can be called a dubious activity, because in AVN you are given a choice, thereby you simply avoid responsibility for your choice and it won't be such a fun experience. Your message only confirms this, since knowing the consequences of your decisions in advance, you already have a picture of what can happen in the plot further.

But, of course, it's up to you.

You must think about the choices you have in this game, like they were choices made in the real life: every choice has consequences and some choices are in conflict with each other. In other words there aren't good or wrong choices, because in this game (like in the real life) you cannot have the cake and eat it too. For example I'm in the Hana path, but my mc is cheating on her without any scruple. There will be consequences? Yes. The consequences will be bad for Edwin? Probably, but I don't care, because this is how I have decided to play and it will be fun find out what the outcome will be.

You can be fine with Hana as long as she doesn't become your girlfriend which you will know for sure when that happens, in which case she expects you to be exclusive, same with Mina if you enter a relationship with her after her breakup she won't like it if you cheat on her.

The rest of the carnations so far seem fine but I imagine at some point they will ask you to commit as well.
