Very much agree with you on this topic.

This anticlimactic turn, so to speak, in Grace's subplot serves, in my view, precisely to portray how her personality suffers from intense emotional detachment. She believes she can "buy" anyone and, consequently, delegate any task, no matter how immoral it may be... this is the great proof of her difficulty in understanding human relationships in general (I’m not sure if due to some issue in the character’s past), how they work, and their usefulness in fostering emotional bonds... curiously, she uses the same behavioral patterns that alienated Ian to try to understand him and transform him into a "better and responsible" person... and I believe this is the main tragedy of her as a mother.

At current knowledge level Grace is the most detached character in the game, even more than Sophia and Kath. Sophia Lundgren is an eccentric with a highly abstracted and cerebral view on Life (and a major problem with social cues due to it), but that is a choice, she clearly acknowledges and feels emotions herself.
Kath is a hardcore sadist with a "naturally" following crippled and small emotional inventory, but the few emotions she is capable of experiencing, she does.
Grace on the other hand is emotionally deader than a zombie from "Army of Darkness", over the run of the game we learn from several sources how detached she is and how few love Ian received growing up. Vicki and Alice are more his mothers than Grace ever was.

Kath crossed the line of bringing club business into wrecking a Carnation's PERSONAL life.

She only was able to get away with it because Elias is now a clubmember (she was to have been wet as hell bringing him in to the fold just to fk w/Felicia: while I'm sure he will be useful and was approved by the other members, his wife being up there, and his basically being cuckolded as a result, definitely was a main factor; keep in mind that that movie they were showing in the background of her would have included MC railing her in Elias's own office).

Otherwise, pretty sure it would've been off the table, both for the reason that the club wants to keep itself completely secret from outsiders, and because it's probably in the contract that they're not supposed to cross that boundary, although Kath definitely pushed the MC to fuck Rose in public at the park in her own neighborhood, IIRC. Keep in mind the porn video she made of Rose, with Rose's name written right on her, isn't actually being shared publicly, but only amongst club members, although it has to have been a pretty big scare for Rose.

So, yeah: both Hana and her dad are (in addition to being amazed at Kathleen managed to JUST dodge the rules) both aghast at how completely Kath managed to annihilate Felicia's ENTIRE life, instantaneously. Even if Feli wins, she loses, BADLY, unless some bright side silver lining is available. MC stepping up certainly will be a factor (unless the player is not following a path that supports her in which case she really is just fucked in every way: house girl status would probably follow her getting forcefully divorced by Elias if she loses, which is probably part of why he told her she has to win), although I somehow doubt that the team will let us get away with taking the gorgeous golden girl as our own to have and hold at the end of the game...

It occurs to me now that Felicia ending up as a house girl would be the popped cherry on top of everything, considering she joined the competition (in which she, probably unknowingly was going to be repeatedly fucked by every last club member, and probably more than a few staff members, in week 3) to become/have the power and prestige of a club member, and be above it all.
She clearly never thought to instead be ruined, and end up endlessly humiliated, degraded, and fucked by the very club members she sought to hobnob with, being their toy for the next decade or two, if she loses and gets pre-nupped out of everything, so turns to spreading her legs for the club to make ends meet and maintain her expensive tastes.
She's obviously into extreme experiences, and is a determined survivor, so would dive in and probably adapt pretty quickly, but would utterly hate being back at square one after decades of humiliatingly whoring herself to the top

Well, one bug seems to remain. When Sophia talks to Edwin at home this text is displayed even if you chose to say nothing to Chuck!

I heard that this bug would be fixed in the public update. so once I updated with the public patch, I fired up a save from before the visit and where I never told Chuck about Abel and Sophia coming. But I still get the wrong passage. Do I have to start a new game or is the bug simply not fixed?

I can kinda see Edwin managing to solve Veronica's issue by needling the steroid junky in the last week, I could even imagine him managing to fix Felicia's issues if she doesn't win by building her confidence (I think her husband is a massive cuck that's probably gonna be mostly fine with her being a part of a sex club, he already knew she was unfaithful to him and as the other members said, her being there is pretty much what allowed him to get where he is, and, initial reaction aside, he seemed...subdued)

but the game has yet to get into how Rosie's issues are gonna get solved if she doesn't win the game, because i'm pretty sure that one loan shark dying or going to jail isn't gonna erase that debt

maybe that's the point though; couldn't help but to notice in a new replay that a good amount of the "mini-games" were slightly weighted towards her in terms of how many points she can get without losing any affection

To be honest she'd probably be somewhat okay with that.

Even though it would bother her she would accept it as a way of keeping her daughter safe (since the club will likely mess with anyone who messes with her daughter, though they likely would hint that they wanted her daughter to join the house girls when she hits 18, and that would likely be a problem for Rose) , and it would be a steady source of what is probably damn good income (relative to anything else she could manage with her skill set), since it's clear the club gals are considered relatively elite prostitutes, so long as they keep doing what they're told.

Remember that our introduction to Rose was her debt was $22,000, which MC considered a small amount to sell herself over, but it was crushing to her because she just couldn't make that much. The whole story with Rose is she's just a housewife and was always a housewife. That puts a lot of limits on her.

It also ironically limits what Kathleen can do to her. The only angles Kath has with Rose are the fact that she occasionally drinks, she has a daughter thatKathleen has already joked about making into a Carnation when she gets older, and the fact that she did those scam calls. Actually she does have the potential for ruining her public life but that's supposed to be off the table and it's likely Kath would get busted for doing it. Otherwise, the only thing with Rose is she's got REALLY big cow tits.

You can take poison on it that such a result was wished for by the Club leadership, so Rosi is kept working for the Club in the future.

I guess it makes sense though, Rose seems surprisingly pliant to actual sex (just the sex, none of the weird powerplay shit with people she doesn't know or the rubbing elbows with the rich aspect), and the story seems to be going for a "sex and kink isn't shameful, but certain people use it as a weapon, and that's where it gets fucked up" message, if the game really does end with the old guard passing off the torch, or dying, or Hana's claim of reforming the place rings true, I could see Rosie doing it willingly

Perhaps I didn't have the same factors but they took over the debt in my playthrough. IIRC they may even have mentioned it when she got introduced in this last scene right before the Elias Felicia reveal.
