Discussing funny ringtones and hypothetical foursomes. We are slightly otaku!;)
When it comes to ringtones, August certainly has Nino Rota´s "Speak softly love" as his ringtone.:p Edwin´s ringtone surely is Unheilig´s "Geboren um zu Leben"(a lot of that song´s text fits him).

While "Erika" is pretty famous and does fit Sophia (as it does most women), there are ringtones even more fitting. Given that the themes we hear in game for her are mostly classical music like Bach, her ringtone is probably instrumental/orchestral.
Orchestral with a touch of right wing influence... perhaps something like Wagner?

Way more on topic, finally caught up on this after months of not playing; really hope we see the minor 'corruption' started on Hana via Kath continue! Things might get more wild than I gave the game credit for...

As TD said, it's s slow week numbers wise, but we all know how distracting it can get around the holidays - be that baking cookies or looting gifts without alerting the zombie hordes. The important point is that TD and GIL have averaged roughly 30 statics images, 4.5 animations and 789 words per week since the last dev diary. Overall they are have averaged ~48 statics, 2.9 animations and 908 words per week since the estimated start of work on Chapter 4 Update 7. Here are the charts for Week 9:

By historical standards the update is off to a slow start on Static Images and Words, though it's doing fairly well on animations. Presumably most of that is a result of increasingly complex pathing as we get to the crux of the Exhibition that forms a pivotal point of the story. Given the stakes, I find TD's enthusiasm for telling that story to be not only comforting but downright infectious, which is why I'm not too worried by how long the update winds up taking to finish. I'd say that's all the more remarkable since I'm personally not all that keen on the prospect of seeing Kathleen in her happy place, but the game has done excellent work building to the moment.

Anyway, I hope all the denizens of this board (and especially our devs) a happy holiday season!
happy holidays!

it really was a good thing for them to split the update cuz had they not done it, the release would have crossed into 2026

I just finished going through the latest update yesterday and I wonder if the rest of the carnations will experience the same hell as Filicia in the next updates?
Hi! Going by the fact that Kath and Chuck are losing it on the sanity front more and more (hinted at several times during the game), I am pretty sure our dear Kathleen has something "fitting" in store for Rosi and Veronika too. For Kath the Carnation competition is like her personal "Hotel California". For the Carnations it is easy to get in, but very difficult to get out of unless you are totally useless otherwise.

Is there any kind of tracker in the game that tells you which girl won which challenge? I was trying to remember who won the 1st exhibition in my play through but can't....

I don't think so, but if you only have 1 save/playthrough then you can check the gallery/memories and see by what you have unlocked/or have locked and deduce which girl won.

Well, here are some ideas for ringtomes for our characters. Some of the songs choices are ironic, but fit from several viewpoints. e.g. Volare is a happy song and Chuck would certainly like it to express his fun, even if it is not funny for those on the receiving end.

August: Speak softly love (from the Godfather)/Il conti di resa(For a few dollars more)/Kriminaltango (Hazy Osterwald)
Hana: Heart of steel (Manowar)/Limelight (Bonnie Tyler)/Ikari o komete hashire (for angry Hana)
Veronica: One moment in time (Whitney Houston)/Chariots of fire (Vangelis)
Rosi: A thing called love (Johnny Cash)/Always on my mind (Willie Nelson)
Felicia: Des Raben Flug (die Untoten)/Diamonds are a girl´s best friend(Marilyn Monroe)
Edwin: Geboren um zu leben (Unheilig)/Davon geht die Welt nicht unter (Zarah Leander)
Sophia: Tannhäuser Ouvertüre/ German Captain Future theme/ Theme from "Western von Gestern"(a bit of chaos;))/Ame (Sekai no Owari)
Viktoria: Midnight Lady (Dieter Bohlen)/Asu e touchdown (from Bubblegum crisis)
Kathleen: I don´t like Mondays (Boomtown Rats)/Komm süßer Tod (from Evangelion)
Ian: Dear friend (Lagoon)/Broken Heroes (Chris Norman)
Chuck: Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey)/Volare (Domenico Modugno)
Abel: Metropolis theme (Gottfried Huppertz)
Jacob: 007 (John Barry)/I´ve been everywhere (Hank Snow)
Warren: Singing in the rain (Gene Kelly)/Putting on the ritz (Fred Astaire)

I took a break from this because of all the choices.
But, I'd like to ask, how many scenes are available on the 1st day of the carnation contest? I mean I see 3 and then 5, so does that mean there are 15 versions? No way I am going to play through that many times just to get scenes, but of course I also have no idea what those choices cause later one (after the contest).
So, can anyone break this down or offer some advice?

iirc during the first exhibition the Carnation that won the first game was exempt of the rest of the night, so if lets say Veronica wins the first round she won't participate in round 2, so that leaves Rosie and Felicia, and depending on who loses second round, that girl has to do a final punishment alone, so yea there's a quite a few differences on how the night can play out, but you shouldn't worry about it too much, just help whichever girl you want, you don't really get punished regardless of who wins/loses that first night.

You can see all the scenes from the first exhibition with three playthroughs.
