just popping on to say i wishlisted on steam. this is one of those few games where im actually here for the plot, i cant wait to see more. becoming the.... literal Spawn is kinda a fun premise.

First and foremost, Color number 3 won for Zara! Thank you to everyone taking part in the poll!
Writing:

We're still chipping away at the latest release, a lot of work and such still to go. Mika's script has been a challenging write, but I'm growing more and more confident with how it's finally shaping up.

Coding:
Not much to report on this front, Quality of life (QOL) improvements are still incoming and being developed, including the auto battle fighter, auto travel, and a 'jump to city outskirts' button.
Have more to say/show on this soon!

Art and tweaking of prologue:
As well as some new locations, old locations and things are also being expanded, such as Fort Sebastian.
The new (re-mastering?) tweaking of the prologue to incorporate more game is going well, we plan to add some additional scenes with Kiara and a couple characters like Borras to hopefully flesh things out a bit more, (and improve the pace before Zanarak appears).

Release schedule:
Just to re-confirm the plan once again on the release schedule, as time and time again this is becoming a re=occuring question.
1.) The Mages of Palam script + Captain Nyx content. This will be very likely spread across two updates.
2.) A major main story update with a focus on Regina and Sypha, ending Act 1 as we finally release onto Early access on steam.

Art:
We're heavy in the middle of production right now, both with gathering art and various things for the next major update, as well as revamping the remaining existing old art. While this is a time consuming process, we're very pleased with the current results (and future spicy scenes we'll have to show you guys!)

A lot of exciting new things are coming up, including not only new events and quality of life changes that we've talked about before, but also new travel events, lewd content, and a new store that'll be available soon!

(Above - tanner store - Hides can be converted into leather here, which can be used as part of crafting powerful new equipment etc).

Prologue rework:
As mentioned before, we're doing some re-working of the prologue to include more 'gameplay' elements so it flows into Act 1 hopefully nicer.
We'll also be 'extending' the prologue with some new exciting scenes that hopefully rectify some earlier pacing issues and add more intrigue to the plot early on, as well as giving you more time to bond with your ill-fated brothers in arms.
...And yes, there may be one or two extra 'spicy' scenes added.

I'm sure we went for 15 or 17 USD on steam, would need to double check that though!

The early access Build on steam I believe will be equivalent to whatever the latest build is.

There'll be some slight changes with how things are run when we get onto Steam, due to it's own TOS about pricing, I'll check with the side of team that handles PR and stuff and get back with a clearer picture.

I'm going to keep this post a little shorter, as we have a lot going on right now and we're going full steam with production.

Art:
We've got a lot of art on the order queue right now, so don't have much in the way of character designs or any SFW stuff like new locations to show you guys (yet), but we will do soon!

Writing:
The script is spicy... But hefty, it *is* coming along well though.

Coding:
Now onto the main thing I wanted to talk about, we've talked before about our efforts to reduce some of the more grindy elements of the game, and to this end, I think it's safe to say we've achieved our goal for the next update.

-Auto travel feature (Working and implemented)
-Auto battle feature (Working and implemented)

And now, we've managed to add in the quick jump to city outskirts. Check it out below:

Of course, there's still a lot of work to be done with other aspects in terms of coding, such as improving and getting features like 'perks' and attributes to work properly, balancing etc...
However, we think the above progress should hopefully reduce a lot of the frustrations in the meanwhile while we strive to continue to improve the game and add new content.

Work is progressing nicely on the latest stuff, we're still gathering art assets and things for the content update and we're inching closer towards the big steam release! One major thing we're working on right now, is re-organising attributes/skills/perks and levelling in a way we think we hope will massively improve the balancing of the game, and hopefully, be a lot more engaging for players, especially with perks:- With lots of new and exciting perks such as 'dreamwalking' being discussed, allowing the player to enter the dreams (or fantasies) or various characters.

We'll have much more to show on this very soon!
