Too bad the dev didn't go ahead with the sequel.
Actually, the dev did. It just won't ever materialize since creating pornography is illegal in the dev's home country of South Korea during the time of development. I've lived there many years and they take that quite seriously -- heck, until recently infidelity was a prisonable offense. Thus, it's very likely he's forever flagged and monitored by law enforcement including the Ministry of Science and ICT; hence, no future games will come from Pixel Factory.
There was work on a sequel over half a decade ago, see: .
As you can see from this archived snapshot of the site, there were progress reports, graphics, and animations signifying that an earnest effort for a sequel was taking shape. Unfortunately, most folks believe that the developer, Pixel Factory, had to cease work on the project as adult gaming projects such as this were violating several laws in PF's home country at the time. Porn is a no-no. Since then, if I recall correctly, the only other time PF popped up in the past couple of years was when someone tried to steal their work and profit it off on Steam. Of course, Steam rightly removed it. Thus, the answer to your question is, "yes", a sequel was planned and much of the work already completed, but also "no" as it will never be completed as Pixel Factory was forcibly dispersed. It is what it is.

Do we actually have confirmation from the dev that's what happened? I've heard this story repeated everywhere, but no one actually has proof, just assumptions and conclusions.

I'll concede the point that we can never truly know if the dev is indeed Korean considering the general anonymity of the internet, but the dev being Korean is the prevailing theory. (Some old forum posts by the dev and the sudden disappearance hinted towards that direction.)
So unless proven otherwise, this is likely the case. There were some old posts by the developer himself that strongly indicated his Korean roots. I really wish I could find them again, but just take my word for it. Or not, it's really up to you. In either case, there won't be any future games from this developer, sadly.

That is fuckin* shi* :(

Pixel factory was very talented with pixel art.
I don't know who I read the following from, but I agree that the main reason why we haven't made progress in many aspects is because of the same limitation as entities, organizations or in this case, that country (n)

My comment was more focused on the fact that the sequel was never released, because I was aware of its conceptual arts for it.

But what I wanted to know is if i share the game sprites
Do you think anyone would be interested in recreating it?
Realistically, I see it unlikely.
You would need to contact a programmer who is a fan of the game or something like that.

This game really gave something to talk about, but I don't think it will do it again like when it first came out.

Instead I would recommend looking into other options, exploring other games or even art. Who knows, you may even be missing out on better things.

It is abandoned. The creator's country of residence outlaws the creation of such media and has since stopped development of the sequel. I dunno maybe they got a warning or just decided to stay out of trouble.
ah that sucks i didnt see anything about that such a shame

It's really a shame the game doesn't get a sequel.
It's really amazing how such a simple game can be so good.

But what I wanted to know is
if i share the game sprites
Do you think anyone would be interested in recreating it?
View attachment 1789913 And that maybe it could attract some pixel artist to create new animations?
Which filter did you use for this one? It kinda ruins the charm and defeats the purpose of the pixel art.

I've been considering doing a fan sequel, but full disclosure--I won't have time to do it for a very very long time, possibly years.

But that being said, please post the pixel art--I'll keep my own ear to the ground for any other developers. If I show them the art, maybe it'll inspire people.

If you guys want something a little bit more solid to hold on to developer LAG Studio is planning to develop a Parasite in City-esque game as this of theirs suggest. They're not done with their current game at the moment so don't cross your fingers just yet. But then again it does say "Gameplay similar to Parasite in City" so very likely its just going to be a slow paced side scroller probably with zombies or horror themed enemies.

They have a good track record in my book. I've played all of their games, all of which are of different genres so they are at least versatile, and I found them pretty good.
