I'm also excited to work on this project but can not rush the current project. Even if that project is complete this one would take a time since I want it to look aesthetically similar to PiC.

I used to have one. But I prefer people pay a one time price instead of a monthly subscription. I think patreon doesn't have it so will stick to itch.io for now.

But it looks like it's been abandoned

aw shucks theres no more, well is there a way of editing the game sprites inside the data.win file? i tried using the latest UndertaleModTool and it just won't open, same thing with previous versions of the mod tool too

. Still very much early in its development, but yeah, it does feel like it has that PiC vibe to it.

It's their first game, I wouldn't get too hyped about it. At least wait to see some animations and shit, it's just a screenshot. Actually makes me extra worried that they're only showing an art pic to launch the announcement. Usually it's best to wait until you actually have some kind of game demonstration first. Looking like a concept rather than something in development basically.

I used GMExtract to pull all the files from memory, its been quite a while since I did it.

I've heard that a few times. Of course the country tends to change with whoever is saying it over the years. No one ever has the source from where they heard it from either. Why do you think a Korean uses the jap language, sold his product in Japan and censored his product to meet Japanese laws? Because hes Japanese living in Japan perhaps?

There are other stories of course, you might notice he makes a reference to finding a programmer for Parasite Eve. Thats because during 2014 the then current rumor was he split from the original programmer (who then made the Z series or somesuch) and things just got messy and he lost interest. Of course that tale is boring and more likely so doesn't get recounted as often.

End of the day it does't matter what is true, any sequels made won't be from the Pixel Factory. I'll look forward to seeing what Lags can do with his vision for it in the future.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm kinda hopeful for this. It looks to be in a similar vein to PiC and has a good protagonist too.
The only thing that worries me is the small bugs (not my thing at all) and the style could also be one of those 'reach the end' sidescrollers where it's on a fixed plane and the enemies come at you endlessly from one direction, rather than being actual levels like PiC

Add to this the size of the player sprites... I hope the dev is good with animation because otherwise it won't look great unfortunatly. The bigger the sprites the harder to animate. It's too soon to judge the quality, so we'll see I guess.
