There are a lot of cash-in projects where little effort is put in. And of course there are some non-English speakers who don't have the ability to get a decent English version of their game out there. Happily, this is not one of those games - the story is crafted with care and hooks you in enough that you care about the characters and want to interact with them to see what happens next. Most VNs fail hard at this test.
