A terrific teaser. Avalon was a lot of fun and I wondered, when playing it, if it was a set up for a Penny story. Nice to see I was right (you know, for a change).
The dirty, old man part of my brain wants to see more of Una, while the sentimental, story driven part of my brain wants to see more of Jinx.

There are no loli characters.
There is a woman with dwarfism, that's as close as you'll get. Everyone else is an adult.
Excellent update. Incredible writing. So good that I even forgive you the lack of new sex scenes.

So... i was one of those (let say) people that in the beginning loved Penny but ended up hating how her existence rendered every single situation borderline pointless, as super Penny would fix it, then save the galaxy and recover the infinity stones from Thanos during her break too...
I mean, I really liked Avalon, but more in the beginning when the story was about a broken girl than when it becamw a showcase for marvel Penny.
Long story short, is she showing weaknesses in this new novel? Or are we going to be shown again just how absolutely awesome she is to the point of boredom?
Those that have read it.. what are your opinions?

She shows some weakness in the second release, but its solved within the same release.
The true problem i have with this game is that Penny is clearly the main and only protagonist and the "male protagonist" is nothing more than a joke character whose only reason to exist is to be able to put the male protagonist tag and get some more players.
This is just the prologue, give that a game a chance to develop. The male protagonist will get his own gameplay and his own three romance options in future updates.

I totally understand what you mean.
It is a common mistake many writers make in portraying their hero/ine as way too overpowered and it takes a lot of good storytelling and character building to not let it get to a point where every action is nothing but another uninteresting showcase for how awesome and above everyone else said protagonist is.
The best example how to do this properly would be Superman, as he is shown as this unstoppable, invulnerable and omnipotent alien force, that can't be stopped, or taken down by just anybody.
But I don't think this is the case with Penny here.
She comes along as a character with a clear set moral compass who is very compassionate about those people she loves and cares for, even to a point where it becomes a known weakness that could be exploited by her enemies to get to her and hurt her.
So she isn't flawless by any means and far from being an unstoppable but boring force of nature in my opinion.
I wouldn't go so far and call Cass a mere joke.
He clearly serves his role in the story and I get it, I wasn't too fond of him at first too, but that's more due to my personal dislike of multiple protagonists in games than anything related to his character.
I was a bit annoyed and like: "Oh yeah, of course there has to be a male protagonist too, as the female lead won't be able to carry the story alone. Devon, get the tables!"
But than I calmed down, smoked a few, watched the stupid cat doing stupid things and I was trying to look at it from a different point of view.
The developers gave their male players the opportunity here to still be immersed in a story with a female protagonist, even if this would be something they normally dislike, at least from what I've read in a lot of comments in many games with a FMC (and to be honest, it's the same for me with most male protagonists as well).
And this feature is something not many developers are willing to pull off, simply due to the increased work to create even more paths which all demand equal attention, or else the whole concept of "choose your own way" would be rendered quite redundant.
How well or not this all plays out will only be shown in future updates, but I have a really good feeling here.

I know, i finished the game and read about "his own path", but again, even if its just the prologue, the story is already there, and its a story where the protagonist is Penny. Cassian is just a Robin and Penny is the Batman.
Cassian is an excuse to put a tag. Which is even a lie, because the game doesnt have a Male Protagonist, it will have a Male PoV, but the protegonist is never going to be Cassian, the protagonist is clearly Penny
Well, i would. Cassian has done nothing except being a shiny flashlight, he is like i said to the other a Robin to Penny, which is Batman. And its even a pathethic Robin, begging Penny to be included in her adventures, seriously...
"Please Penny take me with you because i am pathethic and if you dont include me in your adventures i feel lost"
Thats one of the worst "Protagonists" i can think of, honestly.
Cassian is definitely a joke, its only there to be able to include a tag
Avalon was such a good game with such a great story and characters, that i cant believe how the same Dev can make this...

dude the story just started , in first episode Cass defeated a guy with a gun , he is more than a sidekick and after this you get to choose the MC, which means if you choose Cass the story will focus a lot more on him and on what he can do. I dont see it that way i see it as both are the MC since this story its about both of them and about their past,present and future

if you played the last update it wont switch MCs now that prologue its done , you play as penny or as Cass, you wont be able to play as both at the same time anymoreGame is mostly played by female but sometimes switches to male? I love adventure, violence and all that thing but female mc is

I noticed the ending card said "harsh ending", is there an alternate ending you could of achieved?
