I cannot get this working, I've tried running in compatibility mode. does anybody have any suggestions?

I still feel the (0.6b) links should say demo, Think of the linux people that would like linux native, unless its at the cost of content.
Interesting I also do not have steam installed, but I cannot get the game working even though I was able to play Christmas Eve in Metropolis.
Oh yeah, I just took a glance at one one the screenshots and saw it listed there. I'm assuming it's at least similar if not identical to the previous one.

Yes, that is what is identical (or close to it, there's no hint system for example) to one of the levels in this game.

It's a bit heavy on the story for my taste (too much clicking, also essentially it's one bit of Perky gameplay each time the story advances) but on the other hand it is a completely bonkers hardcore porn story, so...
Most unrealistic moment: no, not that there's a magical amulet that makes people do your bidding, but that you need it to make Goren the technician fuck you!

Still can't figure out why this won't start up (and no steam is not even installed on this pc). Does anyone have any other ideas?

Both? There are five Win(dows) links: Uploadhaven, Mega, Racaty, Workupload, Nopy.
Tried a random one (Nopy) - file downloaded perfectly fine with no problems in maybe two minutes.
