These are all non-arguments. It doesn't matter why people like the things they like. A kink is a kink, and they don't require an origin story to be justified.
Liking unshaved vag doesn't make you're an all-natural overlord who resisted the brainwashing of the masses. You simply like your muff with a bit of fluff, and that's cool, no need to justify it.
I personally like my women smooth and shaved, but the sight of pubic hair isn't going to make me violently throw up and cry. I'm cool with both, but I prefer one over the other.

that statement is most definitely incorrect! 1) the porn industry has had a very short life as being available to all because of the internet. not even half a generation. don't forget 15 yrs ago more than half the population didn't have a computer that kills your premise of general distribution of porn. you may want to look at stuff from over 20 yrs ago the pubes were not shaved which again goes contrary to your statement
2) the shaved pubes part of porn is such a small part of the industry its influence may as well be ZERO if you were talking about the influence of big tits its had and how its popularized them beyond peoples natural tastes and indirectly influenced the implant industry you'd be at least standing on solid ground. although magazines started that trend long ago.
It's interesting that people somehow find ways to keep the the hair on their heads clean and hygienic but for some strange reason those same means can't be used on hair in the groin area?

Porn is a lot more common with the internet of course, and a lot more hardcore now. Actually, most of the porn I remember from the late 90's early 2000's was softcore stuff. Still, porn was there, lots of it.

I'd say this is because there are certain areas of your body where you sweat more than others. For example I've heard things like ball sweat before, but not scalp sweat x'D
Also things like every fluid that involves sexual arousal tends to have a certain smell plus you pee from your groin area, but not from the head/scalp ... At least I don't do x'D

Oh look at all this chaos associated with pubes... Pubic hair is cool. Being shaven is cool too.
Mine doesn't but there are those that do.
I am guessing that the people using 'shaved is hygienic' wild card have heard of these recent inventions call 'cleaning products', they are quite amazing and depending on which one(s) you use you can clean anything simple dirt to industrial strength grease & oils from anything.
I'm not stating that people should like public hair or that they should like things shaved, but to use a reason like 'hygiene' to justify one point of view or the other is just being silly as it's easy enough to be hygienic with either of the two options and anything in between. If you're shaved and don't wash around that area then you can still run into similar issues as those that have pubic hair and don't wash do, being 'shaved' doesn't magically keeps you hygienic.

was meaning trimmed not shaven. but both are more hygienic, and yes you can wash them but a full bush gets dirtier faster during the day that the other two. you would have to wash a full bush multiple times to keep up with the cleanliness of shaved and trimmed. although downside to shaved is ingrown hairs. so trimmed would be the way to. kinda like with facial hair, the longer it is the more you have to clean it or it is disgusting.
