Yes, the gay tag is intended to be m/m content. But as any gay man who uses this site knows, "gay" is used for lesbian, m/trap or m/trans, and m/f where the MC is male, but fuck it, let's just use m/f pictures anyway. If you don't like women, "gay" doesn't always mean gay. Also, the gay tag might be on a game that has hundreds and hundreds of scenes and one is m/m. Though it can be seen both ways. For those who do not like any type of gay content it is a flag to avoid it. But I agree, this can apply to all tags, but this is probably one that has the biggest impact.

i also took a shot and the easiest way to avoid Gay content is to avoid the demon Path. even if you click him you still get the option to fight him off. buuuuut going down his rout he sort of implies the MC's boss and friend might be being raped,or used or just having sex with others soooo that might start a whole new can of beans. all in all though not bad.

Only once have I seen a straight game with the [Gay], and it got taken off after I questioned about it.
As for the other reasons you said the [Gay] maybe implemented for, I have not seen. And it would make no sense whatsoever to call a lesbian game [Gay] when there's already a [Lesbian] tag.
I also know there's a lot of games on F95 that has actual [Gay] content but the tag was not added, even after I wrote about it in the comments - I think from now on the only way to get it included is to post a screenshot to prove it's real ..lol

Yes, you can either "sacrifice" her to the entities or protect her. NTR is entirely avoidable depending on your playstyle.
Honestly, with all the talk about whether this should have a "gay" tag or not, I think this would all be solved by just having a "bisexual male" tag instead. If that's even a tag that this website uses. Note that I specify bisexual male as most games (especially harem games) have at least one scene with the women acting bisexual so it would be necessary to say "bisexual male" instead of just "bisexual" so people looking for such content wouldn't have to search through all the harem stuff to find what they are looking for.

That is actually not something you need to apologize, at least for me. "The game is still in early updates, so the m/m path only has one scene" is one thing, and perfectly understandable. "The game has one easily avoidable m/m scene two hours on, and 347 f/m scenes", and "the male character is going to turn into a woman and after start fucking dudes with m/f photos, but that's totally gay mate" which are way too common in this site for games tagged gay, is far more irritating, and something I would love if it had more warnings before you go to all the trouble of downloading a game.
I do understand why straight players would want to be warned and avoid m/m sex, because I would love to be warned and avoid m/f sex, but i very seldom get that option.
