My ISP blocks subscribestar, can you show what the update says?
v0.5 status update and launch date
I've just realized it's been more than two weeks since the last update, and we're close to May. So, let's give some info before I get too tired at night.
First of all, I'm sure you want some hint of when v0.5 will launch. At first, I wanted to release this past 20th, but that would have meant just 10 days of content development. And yes, it wasn't enough.
Now, almost a week after, I see some work is still required, and if I were able to release this month, that would mean another 'end of the month version', which I don't like.
I don't favor them because most people still think SubscribeStar charges them every 1st of the month. That's not the case (they charge again in the day of the month you started supporting), but as most people are only familiar with how Patreon works, they assume it'll be like that.
So, I'm going to move the release date for v0.5, and hopefully every version after it, to the start of the next month, May. Between 2nd and 4th, depending on last-minute issues.
Regarding what v0.5 will contain, in case you still don't know, it'll focus on Kayla. Her room is being added to the apartment, and this is the first version in which you'll see a character having a daily random schedule.
Depending on the period of the day, you'll find her in different locations, doing various activities, like playing or drawing with her computer, sleeping, having dinner, etc. She can also have a chance to 'interfere' with your normal activities, like having a shower in peace...
I must warn you, that not all of these situations will have a full event tree just as of version 0.5. For now, I'm focusing on some of them to create a nice progression feeling in your relationship with Kayla, measured on a scale of 0 to 100, like the rest of the stats in the game.
Lewdness and Exhibitionism can also be raised past their current caps of 4 and 1, respectively, so new "interactions" will be available. If time permits in the remaining week of development, I'll try to add as many as possible.
In short: I'm in the first steps toward making this game an 'open world' experience of sorts. I know those are big words that shouldn't be used carelessly, at risk of being considered naïve or too ambitious, but yes, I want you to have freedom in playing this game.
And Naikal, he's steadily making more assets that I'm unable to implement at this moment. Next in line is a performing arts classroom, so we can start seeing Jenny going to college, as she should.
Anyways, forgive me for sucking royally at communicating my efforts, but we're working everyday, as always. I wish I had some people doing marketing and community management in my stead.
That would be fucking awesome because there are hordes of people that would support the project if they knew of it. But I guess my time is better spent in actually making the game.
Thank you.
