Unity Pizza Hot! [v0.12 Beta3] [Abelius]

I've tried this game and want to share couple of thoughts here. There will be some criticizing comments, but I'll point them out not with bad motives, but just the opposite.

Firstly, I like the design of characters, but sadly girls looks a bit same, their figures, faces, while men show much more variety. I know it's a bit yearly to judge, so I pointing it out holding in mind that things may change in future, since as you said the customization option will come in the next version. I would like to see there some body customization: ass size/shape, boobs size etc. Probably some body modification (I'm not fan of heavy body modifications, but others can enjoy it) like piercing, earrings etc. Some of them will make sense as the corruption of the MC progress further. Sorry if this information was mention somewhere else, I've read only few pages on this thread and main page on SS.

Secondly, while I like writing in this game the MC looks so stereotypically unbelievable, so she just looks like walking porn cliche of clueless girl. The only way such character would exist if he/she come from some closed (most likely religious) society. Don't get me wrong I'm quite like innocent girls in such games, and corrupt them, but I think, the dev a bit overdo it. She also presented to player as very good with grades which should give her at least some wits, but so far, in the game she act and behave more like child, completely clueless as it can be. I understand that some people may enjoy such characters, I will look at the next versions and check my feeling again, so maybe Jenny can grow as a person in the course of the story, or the sex scenes will be well delivered, at least.

I also wonder how the sex scenes will play out, will there be some interesting angles, or poses where girl will look straight on you, or characters always will look in one side of the screen? There will be some additional screens which show action in details? Because some poses like doggy-style in 2D can block the full view of scene. It's just question out of curiosity I and others probably would like to know how it would look like.

I know the game calls Pizza hot, but while I was playing the game, I had the feeling that this setting prefectly fit for the other job opportunities for the MC. So my question is: will Jenny be able to work somewhere else besides the pizzeria? Or will she have other opportunities to make money?

I didn't mean to pressure you pointing out the things, which I felt can be improved. Judging by your answers your tied up with limited team and time. Well, I just say that while character type you choose for the game, probably not the best thing I find in this game, other parts looks interesting enough to play your game again. EDIT. I remember last game you created about some blue fox, and while she was pure, she wasn't completely naive and clueless and corrupting her was really enternaining. I don't know who of your team wrote her character, but I was hopping that in you second game, your make something like that again. Well, I value the most own authors decisions, just in my personal view it's major flaw in the game for me.

About customization, while you saying that this will require a lot of work to implement more things, I advise you not give up on this direction. I believe, in this kind of games it's probably one of the best features that developers can give to players. If it's done right, of course. You probably already know, how some players like to selfinsert themselves in these games, and while this game about fmc, some players would like to create their waifu. As you say, there won't be many other girls in the game, it's only prove that this direction should be taken. Of course, you know better how to manage your time during development, I'm not asking to drop everything and go for customization. No, just take your time and implement thing along the story, some things, like body modifications, will look better anyway as the story progresses. And new haircuts can be also added in future. Some face adjustments can be done without major changes in animations (They won't, right?), like shape of the chin, nose, eyebrows, cheekbones so at least the MC will look different from those other female story characters.

Again, no pressure from me, just some advice which sides of the game can take more attention.

This is off to such a promising start, but the intro is WAY TOO MUCH TEXT. It takes FOREVER and so much of the dialogue is inane or redundant. Most conversations could be cut completely, like the phone call with parents and the breakfast scene with Kayla. I get you want to set the stage, but easily 60 to 75% of the dialogue in the intro is only slowing you down.

I want to play the game, not read a super long VN.

Otherwise, I love the premise and I LOVE the MC. It'd be cool to give her the option of not starting as a virgin, since she had a longtime boyfriend. And if there's talk of pregnancy, I hope there will be a way to opt out. I don't want to kink shame, but it's 0% appealing to me.

For the waitress gameplay loop, a minimap of tables would be great. It'd also be nice if she had a sprint button and a way to accelerate time. My first shift is me awkwardly watching a single person eat.

Idk. I like the way how the main story is introduced (later you may skip this). Someone is looking for fap content. Someone (me) likes the good plot/story.

I really enjoy the way you start develop new game. It's something between Insexsity and Good Girl Gone Bad?

But future content ... it's hard to believe you can add this into one game! I'm really excited! I will be glad if we get "virgin route", multiple endings of story (pls don't make such a mess like in Insexity)... i'm very curious how will you implement turn base combat (like regular fighting or "sexual - who first cum"). Creampie - do we have a chance for pregnancy? Period mechanic? So many questions so few answers.

I don't know what happened with Insexity, tbh. Last time I played seemed nice, but it was a good while ago. It's kind of funny how everyone is saying that's so similar, but I think that's because there aren't many side-scroller games about a girl in a contemporary setting, trying to earn her keep, I guess.

This game has more in common with Unaware of the World, I think, which in turn also gets compared with Insexsity a lot. Both are side-scrollers with a slice of life story and setting, a naive/innocent virgin moving to the big city and working in a diner/restaurant to pay the bills. Insexsity never stayed grounded.

The game does looks good and the writing is good. The PC's naivete is a bit over the top, but if the story going forward requires that then I'll reserve judgement. PC falling asleep, standing upright, whilst taking a shower is pretty weird though. Also it's a bit odd to name the PC before giving the player the option to rename her.

I know you can do gradual corruption really well, so I'm looking forward to see how the game will progress!

Glad you're adding a map to this though, games like Insexsity and Unaware of the World really need a map instead of just letting you be confused about where each place is.

oh indeed. there's something very erotic about a below-average, balding, out-of-shape older man taking advantage of an innocent, sweet, hot girl but not in a creepy, rapey sense. i'm interested in seeing their encounters and relationship grow as the game updates over the next few months.

I just finished the intro, and so far this looks quite promising.
Liked the protagonist, the art and writing style.
And no, it's definitely not too much text, lol

I'm hoping for something similar to what EvaKiss is making, but with more fun gameplay mechanics thanks to the 2D adventure gameplay.
So yeah, looking good so far.

Question, if I may, from the awesome work from Naikal of the map, it kinda begs to be asked will our protagonist get to work on the same level in more places beside the pizza place? With the ability to transport and all that it would be great, and by that I don't mean a single isolated scene or a single event but, you know, a part of the game upgrade of work from pizza to somewhere else etc? Ya know the name alludes to only really working in a pizza place. ^^

So, just wondering a little thing. Is the next update far away ?
Not to sound like an impatient jerk or anything, but I was thinking of trying out the game at some point and figured I maybe would wait for it to have ab it more content, but it just occured to me that I never thought about the dev's rythm.
So I'd just like to get a rough idea, to see if I keep waiting and try at the next update or just give it a go now despite it being a 0.1.

I'll update monthly. Next version 0.2 is on 15th.

They won't be content heavy as other creators' games, as it is a short interval and my main concern right now is to show people I'm serious and even a harder worker than I was with LOK Rebirth.

Moreover, there's still work to be done on the engine as new scenes require further funcionality. So, that's two weeks for content, one for the engine, and one for shit happenings.

In short, I'd try the game now. I designed the intro as a showcase of what it'll come in due time.

Well I have a bunch of games stockpiled to try out, so if 0.2 is barely two weeks away, I'll see how fast I'm doing with what I already have and wait a bit if needed. Some people seemed to say they found some issues and if you're working on the engine, might as well take the opportunity of an updated version.

Also I didn't knew you worked on LOK Rebirth, now I know why your username seemed familiar.

Yes, yes, of course. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "poll", tbh. That question on Discord wasn't actually a binding survey. I was just curious of the impact of the characters so far. You'll see an event of the landlord in 0.2, but that was already planned.

But I definitely have plans for Kayla. She's not only a bi girl interested in the MC, she'll also influence her "progress".
