...That's how Pokemon works. Pokemon is LITERALLY all about building the right moves and praying for RNG that the opponent doesnt do something to shut you down before you pull off your combo. This isn't a Slasher RPG where the player is given full control over everything you do during a battle and dodge attacks and shit. As for why it was put at the very start? Very simple. Its used to weed out players who I don't cater to. That's the whole point. Clearly, you don't like it, so why continue getting mad about it?

And just because you don't find it fun, doesn't mean no one does. If you don't enjoy it, move on. Projecting your distaste won't help. I have a discord server with a couple thousand people who don't mind it as much as you do.

Mountain of grind? Ok, now I know you're an ignorant fool. I literally provide a PokeBreeder(In the very starting town you're in) that can level you up from like 5 to 15-18 in a matter of minutes. Also, you get EXP share after talking to Asha and exhausting her dialogue AGAIN IN THE FIRST TOWN.

So I now know for a fact that you don't read guides, don't explore your environment, don't use held items or battle items, and don't care to actually understand that the whole fucking world of pokemon, even the mainstream games have ALWAYS been about RNG. You can have the best team in the world and RNG will find a way to fuck you over. That's not me, that's how all Pokemon games are.

lol, think the scientists are going about it the wrong way, as ditto plus some insect poke [for the metamorphosis] should be better. Aka having the ditto take in genetics from humans and use said genetics to metamorphosis into something compatible with both humans and pokemon would be much easier than straight up making a new poke. Especially with how they are already compatible with nearly every pokemon.
Either that or add ditto dna to humans.

Ps. Believe there's a fan-theory about how dittos are a failed experiment to clone Mews, that probably got out of hand. Seems especially true w/ how they are said to have the DNA of all pokes.

Problem is, its a new region, with not a lot of people and plenty of pokemon to use in experiments. Also, team Creation are trying to lay low, so they can't go around kidnapping people left and right. The region also has very few Dittos, making it pretty much impossible to only rely on Ditto for mutagens.

Hmm, couldn't they have people catch dittos from other regions/kanto? Aka importing them.

And not sure if you'd need all that much, since there's bound to be some cloning machines around.

Pretty sure its still a ditto.... and therefore unable to be bred by humans.
Just cuz it mimics something doesnt mean it is that thing on a dna scale.
And besides you dont fully know the intention of team creation. Who knows what their goal is.

As you can see, the region is still developing. Also, team Creation is pretty new. They dont have the connections required in the mainland to import/export Mons. Also, cloning machines are pretty much a cop-out for any story. I can use the same excuse for why there isn't 200 Mew-Twos.

Or better yet, give ditto an evolution / trait / whatever that allows it to split itself into more dittos, so they'd only really need that one. -- Some RL animals are able to do this, along with plants, so why not pokemons?

I know you provide the breeder and I also know you don't intend it for how you plan out the players progression. hence that entirely intentional low jab crutch statement you put in. And I say sorry and apologize for lack of specificity and I don't wish to bother thy motivation for the project. I will very gladly admit never saw the hidden grove and never looked for it as not really what I expect in pokemon... Your intended path is too long and one exp share to grind up the main and secondary pokemon equiped with it and then to capture another pokemon to level that up too. Anything below 5 levels tops is pretty much just one shotted by the wall of I ain't no meme. No matter what of the few pokemon the player will have by the metaphical mountain of the child in front of the bridge to the outside world beyond the Dew town. Without the breeder not really a way to buy a lot. The breeder is significantly not really optional and more mandatory to progress or to even grab every starting pokemon and to level them. Breeder ain't optional at all. Your intended path would take way to much damn time
