Depends on how you look at it. This is the complete first part.
The second part, wich has the conclusion, will be added later.

And yes, second part will have repercussion depending on your choise during the first part

edit:I am talking about in particular just at the start its 3-5 and then right at the bridge the kid with level 20s that can one shot even when it ain't effective your pokeman are just one level away even... asking for way too much stupid grind to get past that

But as was posted before, wich surely you have read... The level cap was voted for by the, paying, people on patreon.
Give the following a read:

Base stats.
The stats of the waifumon are boosted to make them more interesting to use with their improved learnset.
Now mind you. The dev team are not arguing that leveling to the same level as the gym leaders ace, or overleveling, is a bad way to play.

Pokemon H was always intended to be more focused on the gameplay instead of the porn. The dev want to give a fun, challenging game where the porn is second and considered a bonus.

There are multiple ways to make the game challenging. Trainers mons are strong and troughout the game they are more and more handcrafted to make sure to give you a hard time.
The level scaling has also increased. This is not so much an issue in the early game, but later on you will notice you fall behind a bit in levels.

Now, aside from the game being challenging, its also important that the game is fun. If you struggle all the time to keep up, the game becomes a slug. This is not appealing to the majority of the fanbase, understandibly.
Therefore the waifumon have increased stats. Some reaching legendary pokemon base stat totals. This way you will have strong pokemon who can keep up with pokemon that are higher levels since their stats are carrying them.

This way the game can give you fun and OP pokemon with the enemy having higher levels being one of the ways to balance the game.

As for the reason the level cap is introduced. It was simply voted for on the patreon... The question was raised if there should be a level cap that is not optional. The poll was passed with a majority.

This way we will put another challenge on the player. But certainly not one that we deem impossible.
This is also in the spirit of the game, how Sintax wants the game to be.

A challenging game with a fun story, with porn.


As for the -10. yeah we have a BETA tester who is more knowledgable about competative pokemon who beat Gym for while, on average, being 10 lvls below the mons of the gym leader. I can do it with -5 to -7 but it does take some retries and readjusting pokemon positions wich is a fun puzzle to me.

I feel like the debate about how hard the gameplay is kinda tells who is and isn't familiar with the early gen pokemon games.
The grindy nature reminds me of red/blue/gold/silver versions.

It also shows how many people bother to actually read/search the forum vs how many simply post a complaint without realizing the game has several ways to lower the difficulty if you arent good enough/want a casual playthrough.

Look, dude, explain what you really mean with that. Are you talking about when, in the future, it will have a level cap? Because being able to train FIVE levels above them is... well, more than enough to trounce with raw power whatever bullshit some teams may throw at you, specially with pokemon as overpowered as the waifumons. It certainly beats what some fangames let you do, either caping you at the level of the strongest pokemon of the next gym leader... or BELOW. And if you aren't hard caped, but it caps you on obedicence, you better DON'T get close to the cap, just in case a pillar of your team just level up beyond the cap when you need it the most.

If you are talking about how some trainers have bullshit teams... I'm going to be honest, they are more tedious than anything else at worst, when the bullshit is at peak level, and, again, the waifumons are powerful enough to deal with said bullshit, not to mention the legendaries and starters already available to the player (and yes, I used the plural, for both categories). This isn't a specially hard, or specially bullshit fangame. I do have some complains that I already pointed to Syntax, but that's because any developer, specially one with a game on alpha status (it's not beta yet, isn't it? anyway...) wants criticism and where players think it may be improved, but overall, the experience is quite enjoyable, and I don't think I'm a hardcore player, not even close.

What's more, if it wasn't for some teams having illegal mons (and, if I'm being honest, you have access to the waifumons, that are also illegal), my only complain would be "Is it really needed for this trainer to have a focus sash in his whole team? It's just tedious to having to hit twice his mons with my overpowered but not overlevelled team...". It's nitpicky, to be honest, but if I'm giving criticism to a game in development, I prefer to be nitpicky instead of leaving things that may had really helped make a better game.

If you are here just for the porn... well, Syntax already said that this is a POKEMON GAME with some hentai, not a HENTAI GAME with some pokemon. So it may truly not be for you.

Im sorry, i do appreciate the post, but i just want to say that yes, there were multiple trainers on eclipse city beach who had focus sash on all mons, but the Dev listened to the criticism and removed these. There is hardly a focus sash in the game atm.
