First of, if the guy is so important to your co-creator, no way should you remove him.
That's the fun with games like this. Include one path with a Liam and one where you can shove him, that way you can satisfy both the NTR and assorted fetishes crowd and the all girls for me posse.

Incidentally, while I don't particularly like sharing, I can be persuaded to let another guy at the same lady, if it's not a regular thing and my MC is always part of it (though no gay stuff, sorry not my thang).
I also don't mind bisexual relationships between the ladies.

But that's just how I roll personally, you can't satisfy everyone, but if you offer the option to skip some content entirely, you can keep more people interested.

Just my two cents.

Botc76 has a good point here that I think is worth expanding on.

This is you and your co-creators vision, so create what you enjoy. You are going to have a lot of people telling you to do all sorts of things. It is important though to keep what you guys want going. If you have passion for a project people will be able to tell. If you are building something just to please people you will burn yourself out.

Yeah, it's something I brought up earlier, that Liam shouldn't be removed if he's a necessity for the game. I think we have an issue with having to see his time with Lillie without having a choice to stop him or at least avoid seeing the scene all together. If we had the ability to avoid seeing the scene or stop him, we'd have less of an issue.

The connection between the Heroines and the MC should be the most important aspect of a Visual Novel that a dev needs to nail it. At the moment, this connection it's just not there, you don't feel these characters are longtime friends, nor do they act the part.

When creepy guy comes into the picture, any actual friend of a person would have an active say on the issue, if the dev actual intent was to evolve the connection of the main heroine from a friendship one into a romantic one, the MC would be even more inclined to step in, or at least have the option to the player to step in, but you don't see that happening here.

Again, if it's their vision let them have it but know this, it's physically impossible to please everyone and that's absolutely fine, you don't need to.

Thank you for all of the positive/constructive criticism.
We are discussing ways to alter the story to make it more palatable for certain crowds.
Gotta say though it is a very big relief that Liam's character is the only issue with the game, we were quite worried about it as a whole as this is our very first attempt with anything like this.

Things to keep in mind!

1. This is the first release of the first draft! There will be many updates and revisions as we continue on!
2. We are working on it! Give us time to put out V0.1b as the main concern will be addressed.
3. The long absences in my getting back to you all on here, I have a rather erratic job schedule but I will try to check this as often as I can.
4. RIGHT! Someone mentioned the repetitive music. I forgot to include the other tracks I have picked out for the game and will include them with V0.1b. Sorry about that! I play these games with the sound off so I overlooked that bit. D:

Wow! I guess the "I'm over 18" button in games is just there to be there because I doubt that most of the people commenting here are over 16.
First of all a man in a dom/sub consentual relationship is not a rapist. Consent is the key word here people... I have to say that the dev didn't handle very well the initiation of the relationship, people don't call other people pets after only having a short conversation and the large tips give a "50 shades of lame" vibe to Liam that does injustice to the character. Also there is no built up to Lillie's submission, she seems a regular shy girl that jumps into a BDSM relationship with a random guy on the first date, again too much "50 shades of lame". I would suggest reworking her night scenes with the MC peeking and her fantasizing about being dominated.

Second, polyamory is not about creating a harem! For fucks shake if you don't know something google is your friend. Polyamory is a relationship between 3 or more people that have sexual relations with the explicit consent of everyone involved. Polyamory isn't cheating, isn't NTR and it isn't cuckolding. When you're involved in a polyamorous relationship you're in a relationship with all parties, even the ones that you are not having sex with. A good polyamorous relationship is based on trust. Having said that, bikini girl isn't a character that can be trusted in a polyamorous relationship, having sex with random guys is infidelity to all consenting people of a relationship so she must either change her mentality or serve the purpose of sexual relief for the MC until he reaches the state of being involved in the polyamorous relationship intended in this game and then be forgotten.

Overall a good start, I think it needs some rewrites for the characters to define them better and get rid of the mainstream misconceptions of domination and polyamory. I don't expect a thorough investigation of this concepts but it's much better than the usual "MC manipulates and corrupts NPCs" trope of most of the games out there.

Yah! Thank you for pointing that out to this crowd, Stakos! My current GF and my BF (who passed away a couple years ago) had a Polyamorous relationship for over 8 years, with no issues. It all comes from finding people that you are comfortable with, and then working through any issues to resolve them in a way that doesn't conflict with the intention of your joint relationship. Infidelity and jealousy are deadly to the relationship, along with keeping secrets from each other. Honesty and openness is two of the biggest things that are required between all members of the group. We had that, luckily. I know of others that didn't, and watched their groups destroy themselves. BUT, since this is a GAME THREAD, and not a GENERAL Discussion thread, I'll stop with that. I've dl'ed your game, Moose-Steaks but haven't played it yet... Once I do, I'll post an appropriate comment concerning the GAME itself, as opposed to what everyone seems to be all in a fluster about. lol

As someone who is very down with Polyamory, I support this endeavor. I'm actually very curious to see how this project is received. I'm not the slightest bit surprised by the reactions so far, but that's not the entirety of the audience you might reach, and you'll never please everybody. Create the game you want to and see what happens. I'm hopeful you'll find an audience.

I didn't like Liam either, but I thinkthat's more because I wasn't supposed to like him. Assuming that's the case, good job.

I did notice a number of spelling and grammar errors that should be fixed.

The story line is interesting. The renders are alright (I have seen better, and, I have seen worse). The grammar needs cleaned up in several areas. This game has potential. Personally, I do not have a problem with Liam, though, he does seem to be in it for the shades of gray thing.

i just got done and after reading the comments and playing i can see why everyone hates Liam and Lillie to certain extents. To Me personally i will agree with the masses i dont like Liam (cuz i dont like sharing) as well as i dont see why he is there (which i probably missed). Plus the choices with dealing with him felt pointless seeing as it didnt change the outcome at the end of it all. And in my opinion Lillie gave it to easy to Liam. Honestly i gave it a shot and well final though is i want to see where it goes.

To the Dev and his team looks good and i know it takes a lot of effort to make it good so keep up the hard work

I remain convinced that at the dawn of such media, they applied the terms backwards. When I first heard "visual novel", I conjured an image of either a picture book, a comic book/graphic novel, or just a regular novel with more illustrations than usual. "Kinetic novel", on the other hand, brought to mind the act of flipping back and forth (i.e. a more kinetic activity than normal page turning) in a "choose-your-own-adventure" story, that has you flip to page 9 if you want to follow story arc A, but page 57 for arc B. Instead, VNs give you the choice of story arcs and KNs remain linear... it just seems backwards.


But then, I'm an accountant, and we assign negative values to income and positive values to debt, so who am I to criticize?

Wasn't a fan of Liam (or the Bikini girl) as so many others but the setup has promise.

But the biggest problem in my opinion was that the so called relationship between the MC and his friend was so underdeveloped before Liam and the "Bikini girl" entered the scene that I wasn't at all invested in the characters or the relationship so everything that happened just wasn't engaging. If anything could use some work its fleshing out those characters and their relationship before anything else.

I tried the game and fet it had potential. I'm not a fan of sharing so I didn't like the Liam character. I agree that Lillie gave in to fast to him and there was no build up to it, it was I'm here and I have money so now your mine kinda thing. Like someone said technically it's not ntr because your not in a relationship with her but it still poisons the well. Now after her doing stuff with him I dont want her anymore, lol. Keep in mind that this is purely my personal opinion I'm not trying to start an argument or anything else. Just expressing how I feel. If the game gets a rewrite/rework ill try it again otherwise it's not for me. Good luck with the game either way.

I liked the start of the game nice music intresting characters and then we have Liam he is someone from a soap you really hate, or better to say he feels like a 50 shades of grey guy very dominant and a bosy type.
i personally think its better to get rid of him as fast as you can i will give the next update a try but if Liam is still a creepy Lilly stalker then i gonna pas on the next one.
Good attempt for a start dont get discouraged by me or others that hates a character.

Well, it seems I was rushing things a bit. By no means I wanna be a spoilsport, but... yeah, not exactly what I was expecting, even for a first release.
I simply do not feel the connection between the MC and his best friend. Well,they're roomies, and yes, they run a business together but... somehow, the connection is missing aaand... I don't feel either the build-up in that regard.

If the two of them were a couple, maybe fuckbuddies... AND IF they were sharing their mutual experiences, we could be talking about an open relationship/swinger, but by no means of polyamory. I know is early to say that but... I do not get the vibe, again because they don't feel to me like "best friends", I dunno, just sayin'.

I also have some complaints about the so-called dom, and I may be just whinning here, but this is a touchy subject for me. I feel that sadly, he behaves like a lot of so-called-by-themselves doms. What I mean by that, is I consider (Personally) he acts in a way a dom shouldn't. On top of that, A 200$ tip? And then he jumps to calling her 'pet'? When I was reading that I couldn't help but think "Another arrogant rich prick who thinks he can buy a girl he doesn't know".And the girl falls for it. It happens, I know it happens, but I lost any interest for her from that moment.

Also, not a fan of the nimphomaniac swimsuit girl. Neither of the MC who cannot even bring himself to ask her name at any point in their first meeting, but is ready to accept a BJ in the bathroom and a date, and sex without protection just to go home without even knowing her name after all that. Casual sex simulator with an easy anonymous girl and 0 connection between any character... sorry, I know is just a way to start a story, but is also the opposite of what I was expecting to find. :\

The good points: I like the characters appearances. Also, the overall premise has potential.

Way to solve the flaws? Raise the trust and chemistry between the MC and his friend, and tone down the not justified jealousy the MC feels or even better: replace it with real concern of her well-being, even if he actually has some romantic feeling for her. Let them be open about their respective dates. And, if swimsuit girl and the wealthy guy who thinks of himself as a dom but is buying a date for 400$ are going to be relevant characters in future updates, make them nicer, more human. If they're going to be just failed, short-term relationships, then leave them like they are right now. I would like to clarify these are just suggestions, and by no means I want to tell the devs which story they must tell. Just trying to be constructive from a very personal perspective of what I would do, so feel free to ignore me. In any case, I wish the devs good luck on their project.
