This game is one of the best I've played in years... With a few bugfixes and additions to the evo character, this can be the greatest sex game out there.

Whoops. Guess unlocks are saved to the local folder and not to user data...

Well, no matter, I'm sure going to enjoy unlocking everything again. After all, this art style is my favorite, a refreshing diversion from all the CG and anime stuff.

I just have one teeny tiny request... Would it be possible to split professions/hobbies in a way to be able to mix a few? For example Farmer + Trainer or Knight + Tamer. Only being able to pick one from the many options has me deliberating for far too long.

Also a minor observation - might want to change the company name in Unity project. "Default Company" is not quite doing it for me.

Patch is out fixing a few reported bugs...
Windows:
Linux:

Bugfixes:
- Could infinitely recruit one of the new "unique" characters (and at full team cap)
- new unique characters were missing the "unique" trait (didn't have any effect)
- transforming (corruption/evolving) didn't immediately change combat movementcosts
- mindcontrol didn't work
- journal didn't block inputs (show tooltips of characters behind)
- flying characters couldn't fly over lava
- some difficulty modifiers affecting random encounters were pointless
- Change: characters with ice affinity don't break ice and can freeze water

Does anyone else seem not to recieve any of the gender change potions from Castalias 100-Point Quest?

So I've lost 2 Kings Quests that the journal still showed time on the clock for. Both times it's been after making a 24 hr portal run. It wasn't the last day either. Journal shows 4 days on the clock for the latest one. Anyone else encounter this?

Other than that, I really like the game. The mechanics are really good and give you quite a bit of freedom in how you approach things. You seem to have to savescum to get up and running, but other than that it seems to scale fine. Ver 10.0

I will be keeping an eye on this, but please add males. Not everyone likes futanari. Other than that, the game looks great and reminds me of other favorites. :)
Uh... there are males in the game. I mean, they may or may not tote larger breasts (depending on genetics, but they are usually "tiny" or "small" in that area from what I recall), but they are males. I do believe the flavor texts do use only female pronouns, though, for whatever reason.

Basically you have three "genders" - female, male, and "por que no los dos?" futa.

What is needed to walk in on shadow mini biome ? The one with moths etc. I can't figure it out, "light" is not enough of a hint,
is it one of skills ? I feel like i'm missing something.

Edit. Nevermind, i needed anglerfish.

So I just spent hours in a special event portal just to run into the Prince, in a fight I can't possibly win at the end of it. That was a disappointing waste of time. The game hints at chasing story events and artifacts to be the smart thing to do, then gives you that. I can't imagine what the dumb thing to do is. Seriously, that'd be a tough fight at full strength. Whittled down, it's impossible.

edit: The scaling in this game is broken. Its really disappointing because otherwise this game is perfect. It's re-playable. The mechanics (otherwise) are sound and complex. The art is pretty good. The story flows. The in-game info is actually really good, better than most games like this. I just can't figure out how to overcome the scaling. And strategy games are usually too easy for me.

hey I know this isn't really the place to report things but I found out if you use beauty potions and similar on Evolution mc and then transform yourself you lose the benefit of the potion, used some beauty potions in my chimera form, switch forms and then switch back my beauty state actually get lower...im assuming that's now supposed to happen, did the same for lactating too...kinda urking me a bit because I was cheating and wanted my character to be really good at seducing but beauty plays a big part in that.

I'm surprised, because by the time I had the first prince encounter pop up even on 30-day short game, I rolled over him in three turns.

I think the key is learning the "right" characters to carry you through more difficult missions (including story special portals). I haven't really tried running anything short of max-strength pegasus MC with Knight's gear and a greatsword (mobile AoE "add cleaner"), two centaurs (or beast-centaur hybrid), a high-magic lymean, and somebody with high lust damage. Still trying to figure out the World Bosses (they seem to require extremely specific and high-end characters), though.

The story fights were pretty easy with that setup. Centaurs bred for strength, in general, cream anything as long as you're not fighting in water or on lava (breeding in Jump skill for them really helps there). Lymean bred up for magic stat and basic Heal is all you need for those few turns you should be fighting. By then, my MC generally has high enough magic on their own they can double as off-heal, too (in between fights, probably, since it's a waste of DPS during combat itself).

Having a competent seducer gives you ability to completely shut down most dangerous enemies, as long as they are humanoid. Also improved damage against high-full lust. Also makes recruitment of the occasional "awesome" characters that much easier.

That said,

The scaling in this game is broken.
I do agree that game pacing is anything but fine-tuned. This is even more obvious if you try the "dating" part of it.

But, for me, the difficulty would actually significantly drop off with in-game time progression. The new patch that limited level-up gains did tweak that quite a bit (and probably made early game that much more difficult to new players), though.

Also seems to have made Potential all that more powerful of a trait.

I still really enjoy PoP, though. There's so much to mess around with in terms of game mechanics I barely scratched the potential, even after almost two months of on-and-off playing.

If you switched to exactly the same chimera form then it's either a bug or intentional mechanics toning down Evo a bit.

I'm curious now, since I was pretty sure the virility potions I once used did have lasting result (09.10 version, though). Definitely something worth testing - let me know if you get to it before I do, really would appreciate a confirmation one way or another.

Potion effects being only temporary on Evo is intended. Even just leveling Evo without changing form resets stats, undoing any potion effects. There might be one or two extreme exceptions, but I cannot remember what they were, but always assume any potions will likely be useless on Evo and are better off used on other characters/mains. You even loose 20 beauty right off the bat for making Evo futa which is annoying given she's supposed to be futa yet conveniently starts as female. Odd as that is, I've been told even that's intended. I suppose the intent is to rely entirely on perks and forms to buff Evo, so stick to those.

That's kind of the double edged sword. You have to rely on the RNG to run into portals with the species you're looking for, with the traits you want early enough for it to matter. And there are so many options, it could take forever. Matter of fact, I've played to this point twice from the same start save and ended up with completely different things.

At day 26, the lowest level char I used on the prince, was the healer at 10. Unfortunately, he had a dragonling with insanely high strength that shredded my main char and the others had just enough HP that I couldn't kill any of them fast enough to change out tanks. Reloaded a save and tested on the King and stomped him.

Just loaded and tried that fight again, only this time I ran into Seina. Same result: Got crushed no matter what I tried. Well, I think I'll try longer games next.

No what I did was consume the potions before transforming at all, then I would do advanced transform, then switch back to find it's the same beauty before I even drank the potions. But i can test other stuff in an hour or two

that's very upsetting, especially because of cheats in the game that let you use 100 stat increasing potions instead of only 5

Same problem, tried all kinds of combinations and potions, but nothing seems to work.

Thank you for the confirmation. I suspected something along those lines, since Evo is already pretty powerful compared to the other characters, and relying on the upgrade skill tree alone does make sense from both in-game and balancing perspectives.

That's kind of the double edged sword. You have to rely on the RNG to run into portals with the species you're looking for, with the traits you want early enough for it to matter. Eh... not really. The starting stabilized portal already has centaurs and harpies by default, I believe. Your chance of getting lymean in non-stabilized early portal is pretty high, from my experience, too.

Sure, it's randomized, and getting that Bloodline or Nimble character early on makes a huge difference, but I wouldn't say it's determinant of your success in the game. I'm actually considering doing an Evo run now with MC starting as seducer rather than damage dealer to see how that plays out precisely because I think viable early recruitment availability is high enough to support it.

You don't need a superstar recruits early on, just decent enough to carry you until you get your first breeding results, and then focus on having no downtime in increasing gene potential for your preferred melee race. It's why I like centaurs so much - they are easy to breed (virility through the roof that offsets the low fertility), not being hybrids easy to pair up if you need gene or trait injection, and improve pretty fast, too. Technically, from what I noticed, beastaur has even better damage potential, but I don't like running hybrid breeding.

Wait, are you genuinely using "tank" characters, or just mean melee fighters?

I never really breed for "tanking" - even on melee characters, I consider HP gene gain nice, but not necessary. You get enough HPs from leveling up, and my playstyle is based on minimizing taking damage in the first place.

It's why I think centaurs (and pegasus MC) really shine, especially once you get Nimble on them - "charge" gives you, even without Nimble, two initial attacks that generally are enough to drop most enemies. With Nimble trait, this is something you can do through the entire fight, as long as you mind your positioning.

Basically take out highest damage dealers if possible with one character engaging each of theirs, lock down those less dangerous with positioning so they are in melee mode (something the spawn placement of enemies very much helps with). Anything humanoid with high HP pool gets seduced, the rest generally goes down in the next turn due to sheer DPS.

In PoP, the best defense is good offense. My lymean is there mainly for healing in between fights, with the occasional "oh crap" combat heal, rather than to support any kind of intentional tanking. Also main reason why I use Crystal Flower instead of Magic Focus even when I have the latter - usually my healer also serves as offhand seducer (and gets bred for that).

It's why I like starting with 5 Strength/MaxLevel7 centaur - it's doable points-wise without disadvantages, gives you a leg up early on, and gives a good breeding start.

Also, remember that with the new update levels don't matter as much as gene potential does. Getting that early Strength-focused centaur breeding program up and running definitely makes the game that much easier.

that's very upsetting, especially because of cheats in the game that let you use 100 stat increasing potions instead of only 5
It's not just cheats, there is a starting trait you can select that lets you legitimately have that as well.

Would be nice to have some clear indication it's useless for Evo, though.

If you want to be evo and just go around seducing everybody. You need a decently high beauty stat but when you use chimera form it defaults to 70 for some reason even if you pick parts that are supposed to raise it. WHICH I KNOW FOR A FACT... is not intentional but annoying non the less. Even if that wasn't the case I dont think its really fair that potion states dont save on evo, makes certain tactics and styles of play either less viable or straight up useless.
