Because today is when he is finishing up working on it? He didn't finish yesterday and he didn't finish a few days ago. He worked on it all the way up until now and he is now building it in renpy. He isn't just sitting on the finished build and only testing it now. Once he finishes his test, he will begin uploading the build aka the Beta for his patreons to play and you guys to pirate.

Dart I'm desperate for you to leave this abusive relationship you have going on with WWG. He told you with enough confidence that you publicly stated it would be released on the 7th. So either you gotta learn when not to say anything or he has no qualms throwing you to the wolves knowing you'll stay loyal. He should have had this testing wrapped up before he ever told anyone anything. And if you can't admit that him telling you it's ready for release tomorrow and then just not releasing it then consider this your intervention baby because he's hitting you.

And I wanna be real clear with your snarky "y'all pirate it" comment. I supported PV financially since Ch 3 and he banned me from discord and Patreon because he was trash talking other devs and I told him it was a shitty thing to do. So don't blame me for his thin skin creating pirates out of supporters.

You judge the developer as if you were his paid visitor or he personally promised you an update... dude, where is the patience? besides you, we are still waiting for the update, but to judge? have at least a little understanding

A guess would be some of us are sick and tired of WWG missing even his estimates. Most devs who constantly do the same get a lot more hate so honestly this is just par for the course.

I've said exactly why it's ridiculous. What he's saying he's running into is stuff he should have caught in alpha testing and instead he's delaying the beta release...again.

And the issue I have is that WWG very much considers himself better than other creators and talks about them as such. But he has no concept of self discipline, time management, humility, I can go on. And he's never going to learn those traits as long as simps come along and defend his every move and cannot or will not admit when he's wrong. Either because they're completely lost in the sauce or because they're scared of his reaction. Dartred's a good guy and even if WWG has never told him to say or do anything he will happily let Dart take the heat for him instead of owning his own mistakes and admitting he's suffering from major burnout that's affecting his work

But he IS testing it. There is no such thing as a alpha version unless you mean what he's doing right now. He is literally testing for errors on his version first before he releases the beta. Every dev can tell you they have to see if renpy throws you back errors.

That's what I'm saying Dart. He should have had these alpha tests that would have caught these errors done and fixed before he even told anyone it would be released on the 7th. He's not managing his time at all and you're not helping him by making excuses.

WWG should really have a few testers on hand for this stuff though. These updates are massive from what we heard an extra pair of hands can really help avoid all this in future. Shame he won’t do it.

Have you worked on a game before? I'm not saying this to be snarky, I just want to know where you got your knowledge about the game development process that lead for you to come to that first conclusion.

It also seems like you don't like him as a person because you feel like he's arrogant and hypocritical? Why do you stay subscribed to him on Patreon then?

You keep bringing up Dartred, but we are all adults and can make our own decisions, he can do what he wants to do with his time, just like you.

Both sides are at some level of fault. However, the devs delivery-time issues only lies with actual Patreon supporters, not pirate site leeches lol. That is something that should be communicated with the dev(s) directly, not on a pirated porn-game site. And if you are a supporter, take it up with the dev or Patreon, or just unsubscribe. Don't whine to a mouthpiece that isn't an active developer of the product. As far as obtaining Alpha testers, I can guarantee he won't be recruiting from here due to loose lips, coupled with the arms-reach he keeps with this community. I'd imagine he'd only consider recruiting those he's had a long-standing relationship/rapport with. I'm just playing other games until the release, instead of bursting at the seams with a mixture of semen and rage Simple Supply and Demand rules.

As an ex member of the discord I can say with 100% certainty there are guys he can trust with an alpha build that wouldn’t blab. Dart being prime candidate, if he had a test build he wouldn’t even mention it anywhere.
