Also... this is one of those rare games where NTR is FUCKING AVOIDABLE FOR REAL and its only used as a bad end for comedic values. From Chapter Two onward, there is not a variable of any kind needed to progress the story. You just click on the events in each chapter and watch the story. I'm not complaining about it, but I do recall there were a few-to-several times each chapter when I had to go through the motions of a day just to get progress with that one girl I still hadn't finished that update. That might be what they're calling grinding. I know there's an option to skip time, but my semi-ocd won't allow me to waste anything. >_<

And it wouldn't be a thing if there weren't so many "empty" periods in each day. After-breakfast chores haven't progressed in a while and there's no point in raising their affection after a threshold. Each day is filled with periods like that. We can't even peek on the showers, an incest harem staple! I don't want to make work for you, but each day would be a little more fun if there were little things we could peek on all day but not participate in - just little instances of Hunter's drugging causing the girls to act out when they think they're alone.

but it's not the same every time. brenna's photo scene's progress every time you come check on her at her time.

I think people are confusing grind with sandbox.
a sandbox game means u need to click around in the "right" order, or at least the available paths, that is possible that allow one to proceed the story.
that part can feel like grind, since u are clicking on buttons all the time, to check a room, to advance in time etc.
this sandbox game is not more grindy than any other sandbox game.

said that, this game is easy to play, the available scenes are shown in the a easy to read list, and giving u good hints so u know what to do. so no, its not grindy, but its sandboxy.

we could compare to rpg-engine games, the "grind" is to walk around, and could be that u need to walk from house A to house B every day to advance the story. that part "walk from A to B" will feel grindy even if its linear and theres no repeatable scenes.

I downloaded this and I'm not sure if the version I got is patched or not. Is there a way to tell? Started a new game and MC calls Ophelia by name (I assume it's supposed to be his mom) so I guess the patch isn't applied?

The patch is applied. But, at the time I made the port, the patch was semi-working. Hence, some events he calls her by the name and in others he calls her mom. Like for example, in the breakfast scenes, he calls her mom.

Game's great, really funny dialogue, some surprisingly touching moments, very fun and unique characters and nice models. Only thing I dislike is everyone shaving. Seems like the author has an obvious shaving fetish from how much he makes us do it and how everyone shaves, but I liked the bushes. Catherine red bush being gone was deeply saddening. LA TRAGEDIE!
