This is very true, why pledge a cent to game with NTR and piss away money on something they I don't like only to be outvoted by those who do like it. The problem with that is then the dev thinks that what's the audience wants, meanwhile he's really lost most of his support because they are chased off by the bad stuff*
*can be any kink you don't like.
See, the problem with your conclusion there is that you are basing it entirely on a routinely exaggerated and completely single minded focus F95-based outlook summary of just who the paying "audience" of these games ends up being. I mean there is ultimately a reason why your own ideal perception of what the "audience" wants only really thrives as an absolute in new/upstart game threads here, and by general rule tends to die off the moment that small subsection of extreme minded posters jumping thread to thread here stop being the only voices feeling any real initial need to be chiming with an invested interest.
Once a game branches out to see a larger scale interest, the amount of total people playing who sum up a game's sex content under some absolute and fully immersive NTR or Non-NTR viewpoint will always be much much smaller, and as such get drowned out. Since once you strip that extreme and fairly isolated perception out of the equation, what you basically have left among the majority of everybody else not taking their downloaded fap game pixels that literal sense serious is pateron votes typically boiling down to:
A. Variety content, and adding something likely not already in the game or consisting of repeat character progression scenes
B. More of the same, and likely consisting of repeat character progression scenes already in the game
Same as regular porn some people out there like jerking off to the same exact porn format clip every single time they do it. A lot more tend to end up wanting to watch more then that 1 exact clip format over and over. That is essentially why the NTR'ish option wins the larger scale audience poll every time in pretty much every game that reaches such a point, and not because there is some direct desire to see NTR content that mirrors and directly opposes your own obsessive dislike of the NTR'ish option. By and large, variety appeal wins out.
On that note, big ups to the dev on another fresh and ground breaking game development aspect here with these What If's.
