To speak to the size of all "What If...?" combined, I've been working a lot with the files when creating my "non-canon fan-repacked DLC" versions of them that inject into the main game. My release with vol 1-5 is 321,91 MiB and I expect vol 1-6 will be just shy of 0,5 GiB, because it has many new animations that are about 180 MiB.
This is not due to compression, as I use the original images and videos. It's purely because I peel off all the files the stand-alone mini-games have in common with the main vanilla game.

The updates are always massive with actually really good content in them, as long as that doesn't change I can handle waiting a few extra months.

Regarding the time it takes to release each chapter and how long it will take to release the next chapter, I've done some calculations on the previous release dates and also done some estimations for the future. I have a link to the post in my sig.

You can just open the game folders and see how many renders each individual update has, starting from CH 5 on. Posting this so people can see how much bigger each chapter got from the next

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
chapter 8 has only 580 images as main renders, rest 198 are images of eyes blinking, just saying

understandable. People didn't understand that he was doing these in his free time and it took no dev time away from main development. He could use a break and all were losing is just bonus scenes.
To be fair, I can't completely understand this. "Free time". Unless he is a full time developer with no other job, all of his Dev time is his free time. So how is he using free time outside of dev time? Just seems like an oxymoron.

The other thing I will never understand is how a game, that treated it's NTR sequences so comedically and made a big joke out of all of it by how easy they were to avoid and how hilarious the avoidance scenes are.... managed to attract a majority Pro-NTR patron base.

Chapter 9 also had 119 animations while every other chapter combined had 220 so chapter 9 had 35% of the entire games animations.

If he has a "day" job on top of his Dev work, then that counts as 2 jobs in my book, He is his own boss as far as the DEVing goes. and he can't count that as free time if he is serious about giving his patrons their moneys worth.

Setting firm boundaries is important when you are your own boss, particularly if you are working from home, you need to know when to clock out and get some rest, which can be really hard to do when deadlines are looming and the trolls are out in force.
It works the other way too, having a firm commitment to how many hours per week you owe the project, helps stop you from slacking off.

That how I envisage it anyway

I played this awhile back and just redownloaded this update along with an updated save only to check the gallery and see the grandfather wearing his hair like the MC while the MC is more jacked than he was before. Overall, pretty good, and I wish for more NTR.

Also, dev, if you're reading this: Please hook us up with more Ophelia NTR. Dad-daughter is already hot, but Dad-daughter NTR is diamonds

When it rains it pours and some people love to rain on a parade. There was something pretty unique goin on but some crowds are like sharks that smell blood in the water. Which isn't particular to any one genre obv but some more than others

I'm pretty sure I'm repeating myself but I still wish this would've turned into an actual competition between Sterling and Hunter with you being able to sabotage him as we do so he wouldn't get points or whatever.

Then it wouldn't be a "What If" it would be a part of the (or alternate) game, and it would take a hell of a lot longer to produce. then the "What If" haters would really have something to complain about

I would think most devs work on regular schedule, just like any job. 9-5 and so on, as its one of the best ways to focus as well as not burn out. So free time meaning WWG puts in addtional hours after 5 per se.

As for the patron base, i gotta say, sometimes people just wanna see the world burn... :ROFLMAO:
