I don't "gift" anything in Power Vacuum. Almost every big moment has been outlined for years. The game follows an incredibly obvious trend with Hunter...he gets the girls first! He has since Chapter 2.

But more importantly:

I've tried recommending this game to a couple of people who hate NTR, just because of the unique way that NTR is handled in this game. Don't want even the risk of it to ever occur at all? No problem. Just turn it off at the very beginning of the game and then you're golden. That and of course don't touch the "What If..."s, none of which are canon anyway. Even with the NTR scenes turned on in the main game, they still aren't canon. The game even saves you the trouble of rolling back or reloading after (if) you see them .

Now I think I can understand why some people strongly dislike NTR even when it's avoidable. Because I can see still being bothered by knowing that the LI even has it in her to cheat under the right circumstances. But even so, look at the way that it's done in this game. The NTR only ever happens because Hunter gets them so hopped up on sex drugs that their minds break. Which makes sense to me, because I mean how else is he realistically supposed to get them? Look at the guy lol!

NTR is not even a big kink of mine, but I still actually aim for them in this game because I find them so hilarious. If Hunter was some ruggedly handsome dilf or something then that would give the NTR scenes a completely different tone, would likely destroy any comedic value that they have, and I doubt I'd care to even see them at all. But with the way that Hunter looks, this game may as well have the "monster" tag added to it. He's essentially a cave troll, let's be real

Nothing's going to please everyone. But I'm actually into the "monster" kink somewhat (don't kink-shame me... actually go ahead if you want to, I don't give a shit ) and this game saves me the trouble of having to do a separate "NTR playthrough" or anything. So for me personally, that aspect of it just ended up working.

I said fair enough, it is what it is at this point and any feeling of bait and switch or betrayal or whatever is just sunken cost at this point.

What bait and switch? The flow of the game has been consistent since day one. Hunter is always ahead of the MC in the bad endings since the start. If things had been different and Hunter suddenly made his move after a few chapters, I'd agree, but Hunter's motives were clear from the start.

WWG as a dev has proven they cater to the NTR crowd in any number of ways, and I for one would never support them again because even if they 'claim' their next game will not have NTR as a focus, they will likely do the same tactic they have done here, or find some other way to include it. They almost have to at this point, because they have already proven they carer to that crowd, the NTR group is firmly ensconced in Discord and the dev (per Discord) likes NTR as a fetish and topic anyway.

I don't know about this, but dartred has confirmed it with the dev, and also posted a screenshot here in this thread, saying that there won't be NTR in the next game, since there are no males except MC

That you could potentially have 999 patrons who all unanimously want the same thing, and then 1 whale could come along and say "I want the opposite... and I'll pay you x10 more than what all of your other patrons are paying you combined."

I mean it sucks, but what's the ideal answer to that conundrum?

Just counted Chapter 10. MC gets 21 sex scenes and Hunter gets 1. What spin is there? He gets one damn scene in Chapter 10. God forbid I make it good. Anyone complaining about it just sounds entitled and lost.

Making what ifs have 2 paths and/or as one patron suggested limiting what ifs to only 2 inbetween chapters and making one ntr and one not ntr.

Scene quality is definitely way up. The two big scenes with brenna in chapter 10 and the 2 in 9 sort of blow away almost all the rest of the scenes between sterling and brenna combined, not that there are a lot before 9.

I can't blame you, from the sounds of it. It's funny how some games will just attract certain fanbases. There are a couple of threads for games here on F95 that I really try to avoid for the most part because they're just so fucking hostile and toxic towards anyone who has any differences of tastes or opinions whatsoever. "To each their own" is apparently just not a thing to their tribes lol. And no matter how respectfully you try to express those differences, the Facepalm Brigade will still come out in full force, along with all sorts of responses filled with name-calling and unnecessary and hostile BS.

While there are other threads for games that are super-friendly, chill, helpful, and actually civil (for the most part anyway lol).

I only just started interacting on this thread. So it's a bit early for me to feel one way or another towards it. But I figured that there would be a lot of contention surrounding the NTR. Even despite the unique way that this game presents it. It's just one of those topics where explosions are almost inevitable lol.

why make less what ifs? Just why? They are done in his free time, let him do what he wants in that time. He could be doing literally anything, but he's putting that time back into his patreon for free. yes, free because the $20 tier was always there, without what ifs from the start.

What I found are vanilla "purists" who are so butthurt about the previous one that it has become laughably comical.

What if the patrons who pledge the highest amount do so simply because they're older and have more disposable income, and since they're older are not so insecure about women and sex, and thus the NTR content doesn't bother them? Just a thought.

Hunter "getting there first" serves to add urgency to the conflict in the story. That's the point, for it to have maximum impact. The fact some people are so upset just proves the strategy works. If Sterling got every woman before Hunter then Hunter's scenes would have less effect. One way to mitigate this might be to have the women say they enjoy sex with Hunter more than with Sterling, but I expect people would complain about that too.

The fact that PV features NTR attracted patrons who like (or at least don't mind) that kind of content. They didn't influence WWG to add NTR to the game, he is ultimately going to make what he wants to make. Enough with this chicken-or-the-egg bullshit.

But if they had the MC first, and then Hunter, and then said in their drunken stupor how much better it is with Hunter, then it would start to approach what I'd consider "actual NTR" territory and the question of "Do or would they really feel that way??" and then I might actually be bothered by it.

I can only speak for myself, but I'd definitely prefer the way it's done now instead. Also I think you're spot on in your assessment of it adding a feeling of urgency.

Exactly. As you mentioned earlier, the women can be forgiven for being susceptible to Hunter's chemicals and such, but to have them actually compare whose cock feels better would be so much worse. People who want Hunter to go second should be careful what they wish for!
