Do you even understand that adding the fan patch would kill the game? Patreon wants nothing to do with incest, bestiality, rape, drugs, etc. If WWG would add the fan patch so lazy players don't have to add it themselves, patreon would outright ban him. This is the dumbest take or suggestion someone has offered so far.
The reason the game is the way it is right now, is because he had a long back and forth one time while he was suspended and had to keep uploading version until they said "good enough". No incest, no bestiality, no drugs, etc. It's at the butchered version it is now on patreon, BECAUSE of patreon. That's why it takes a fan patch to restore content that WWG took out.

I think he means that the game should be capable of running without error (while the patch isn't applied) to avoid Patreon's suspicions. Of course the game would be extremely barebones, but calling the patch "mandatory" probably gives Patreon the idea that a fan isn't the one behind it.

The suspension isn't because of the patch though. Not sure why people think that was the case. The only thing Patreon wants this time, is for F95 to not link to his Patreon page. Once WWG hears back from them, he'll decide if he changes his URL.
The worst part is that the moment he will have another URL, someone will just link the new URL again...

C'mon, man! The suspension is because of incest, there's incest in the patch available on F95, and they're holding WWG responsible because F95 points to his Patreon.
As for the idea of removing all the offending content, I think that'd be worse than cutting all the songs out of The Sound of Music. There'd hardly be anything left of the game, and it wouldn't make any sense.

I know that they want him to change the link because the patch contains incest, but that's not what they care about in the email. If they are true to their word, the suspension will be lifted when WWG changes links. that's why i'm saying the patch isn't really what they are after. Even though it's the root cause, it's not how they are asking to resolve this.

Well you're kind of sending mixed messages, that's all. Yes, they're currently only asking him to change his URL, but all of this stems from the obvious root cause. Just because they don't mention it in every email doesn't mean it's no longer the issue.

Now I'm just an observer here and have no skin in the game, but the ongoing issues and moving of the goalposts by Patreon in regards to what they want is nothing more than a holding pattern for WWG. When will PV be fully completed - a year from now/end of 2025? Realistically, he just needs to play ball until then. Theoretically once PV is done, and WWG moves onto the next project, PV could be wiped off his pages account and there'd be no issue for Patreon right?

I know what you're saying but "my patrons" in FAQ section isn't added by a mod, but... I'll just let it be, hopefully some mod will delete/edit it... Sorry for the pinged message
I understand and we all know this but please remove this message as it clearly hints that WWG is adding/developing the above said content and applying it into a patch so that people can enjoy the game in the original form.
It's not hard to add this up; The 'fan-patch' is actively updated when each chapter is released. The 'fan' whomsoever it may be definitely knows and keeps things interesting while developing the patch with the game.
