Well have you ever played a Japanese game or watched a Japanese movie tagged with NTR by developer where it was not through abuse of power and rape? Over here it tends to be used much wider, which is understandable since cheating or stealing and cuck hit many of the same emotions in people. Let me show my age here. Porn comics in the west didn't have a tag (including BDSM and gay). Everything was just porn, and even then it was only specialized publishers that made them. Hentai on the other hand was plentiful. A lot of the tags are Japanese, even if the content isn't. Look at Futa. That did not come from Japan.
