I think Star citizen will be released faster than this game. 8 years is a real production hell
Imagine the joke being that if we get GTA VI before the game gets a good demo or something better.I think Star citizen will be released faster than this game. 8 years is a real production hell
I'm not going to subscribe to your progress. I'm not going to bug test your game. I'm not going to give criticism or cite any other developers. Let's face it. If you wanted to make a game and push it out, you could've done that within 2 - 3 years. Bugs be damned, there will always be some. It's fine. The game worked a majority of the time. I don't care if there were some jank things about it as long as it was playable. The well has run dry and nobody is impressed though. Regardless of your or the other developers intentions, people move on because life is too short. Maybe it's time to consider those factors more strongly. When Predation first started, we were running on a rather obsolete game making platform, and after that, a bad engine. When we switched over to where we are now, we realized just how lacking the game was, and how much more could be done with it, so we are in the process of reworking the level for a brand new, MUCH better experience.
As for why the dog is gone, Patreon came down rather hard on any content that involved feral animals. They went on to specify that an anthro furry paired with a feral animal is "rule breaking content", and any such content hosted on Patreon would be "dealt with".
As unfortunate as it is, we had to remove the feral dog, to prevent Patreon from shutting our page down completely. We did try to jump ship to Subscribestar, for much more freedom, but that's been a slow process.
The current plan is to finish up the last touches on the completely redone first level, and release the build to show all of the improvements, how far we've come.
If you ask me, as someone who was a fan of the project BEFORE being brought on as a dev, I've been a tad bit impatient, myself. I want to see the new content that's been added in a playable state. I haven't been given any specific deadlines, but I have been assured that it's nearly ready for a big release. After the first level is republished, we've already got the groundwork in place for the next full levels, and the engine built to handle it. It's just a matter of putting it all together.
They removed the dog in the uncut version too?Ooooooffffff with the dog removed sadness....![]()
Decade long development thhat cuts content while barely adding anything. Sucsess of hackery named future fragments will haunt ero market forever.Ooooooffffff with the dog removed sadness....![]()
No need for a full save in the current version.any full save yet![]()
I'm gonna level with you. I have very little influence on what does and does not happen, or the deadlines that get set. I'm trying to convince Sephra, himself, to give me a bigger part in development, for the sole purpose of speeding shit up. I KNOW people are frustrated by the development hell. I'm not asking you to subscribe, I'm not asking you to bug test. I'm not asking you to do anything.I'm not going to subscribe to your progress. I'm not going to bug test your game. I'm coming for your fingers, specifically. Can't wait for the update where they remove our fingers too, might as well discard every gameplay or interaction left
