Lossless webp, since you're wondering, and each image averages less than 1MB. When you have ~1MB/image, ~300 images/chapter, and 17 chapters, plus some animations and the Renpy overhead, you get 6ish GB.

Have you considered that you may not have ever interacted with a non-familial female? Emilia takes a bit more the reins, depending on which path you are Marias reaction is diferent, but not much, Is a good Update though story wise, and for the plot.

Yeah, that choice is one of a few that'll lead into the harem path, similar to how they were a few choices without immediate impact that have led into the throuple path. The throuple path really starts in Chapter 18 (which I'm working on now), so you'll definitely start seeing those throuple path choices making an impact soon.
The harem path will become more obvious in a few chapters. The romance path choices don't tend to have immediate impact, since I think it'd be weird to just have a "harem" button - you make a few choices, they have compounding impacts, and then things start happening.

Honestly, I think it'd be really cool if I could make the game have a lot of different choices, but then it'd branch in fifty directions and turn into a big, open-world RPG game. That'd be awesome, but I'm a solo developer working on this after my full-time IRL job and on weekends, so PoP would just get mired in development hell. I think I have just the right amount of choices so that, by the last chapters, I'm not writing a ton of different endings and splitting the game in twenty different directions.
I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. Too many games make 50 branching paths and than they all end up shallow like the side quests in a Bethesda game. It is better to have one path but a good one than 50 shallow mediocre ones.
