I am free to think in a different way. As far as I'm concerned you can rename the MC and the country she's from. She can be Amy, or whatever name the player decide. She can be from Romania or maybe even Tattooine. Up to the player. She can be slutty or reserved, up to the player. She can choose Hank, or whoever else, up to the player. And the list goes on.
Your version of Amy in your head is just one of many as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't make you more right than me.
Like, technically the 'spirit' of amy is the same in the two different versions. The first was an instant gratification game and the second one was a slow burn meant for the build up. In both games Amy was mean to become a slut. Its a porn game after all and i think we all see this coming. PW didn't like the first game because it was hollow for a lack of a better world. But Amy did become closer to her 'true' self in the first.
But you are making stuff up when you say PW felt trapped by the polls and therefore lost motivation. The polls were always 'im making a school scene, the modeling scene and a another scene. what scene do you want at night? a hank scene or a gambling scene'. People would vote and he would do that scene but the one that didn't get votes would be worked into the next update. There was no way to get trapped because PW ultimately made all the scenes anyways. the only thing that may have trapped PW was the vast pathing options, but then again PW never seemed bothered by that.
All we know is, someone close to PW got sick and passed away. In their grief they became depressed and stopped working on the game. PW tried to come back but ultimately stopped. This can be found on page 206 on this forum by PW.

I dunno about you guys above me arguing over what PW felt about Amy or anything like that, or the whole debacle over the school year coming to a close too soon in the story...I felt like that was just an intro to it anyway. I haven't played the game in forever so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I felt like the main story had to do with the dead father and the grandpa. I mean was Amy actually a genetically engineered baby, created by the Soviet Union to become a super spy? I thought that was an epic story about to unfold, or I was just reading too deep into it or something, I dunno lol. Shame really about PW, but whatcha gonna do.

Once again, Shes the same in both. In the first its a quick transformation and the second is a slower more well paced approach. Either way, the first game is SUPER dead. and this second version appears to be dead as well. Sad, but it is something you need to deal with.
So, have anybody actually found any games that reminds them of this one? I really like the naive aspect of the MC, and how she slowly gets corrupted, with several different routes where she gets affected.
Project SAGE unique. We tried to find any similar game, but only weak copies are.

Personally i think the old game is better and almost finished and for me it is not dead at all.
the slower transformation does not have much sense because she is comes in a new big city and she have to hurry to be independent and find a good job.
I think that this new game is much dead than the almost complete old game

Doesn't have to seem, for the dignity of the white Matt to know what Andrew and Paul do a lot but don't bother with them. that's not how Matt's personality looks. Now the game was a lot different in the development, but I think paperwork, that doesn't make sense to him either, but it's just a guess.
