japanese creators are discovering patreon and the ways of scam it seems

this 5 years ago wouldve been a completed game just as black market with no updates and slow process to add nothing, my god... if japan people starts doing the same shit im done with fap games
I am under impression that the developers' previous game, Monster Black Market, was also developed with early access. And it turned out to be a great game. It looks like ProjectR would be at least "good" once it is filled with content. Might turn out "great" if we're lucky and developers are clever.

By the way, "Black Market", without any monsters in the name, is a different game that's banned on this site. Its developers are making Mad Island now. And it is likewise available in early access. It does have a lot of content already.

I do not think either of these developers uses a funding scheme that involves monthly payments. But it can be bought in early access, similar to how Steam does it.

- Making games is not easy and time consuming. Just recently I've seen that WolfRPG game Milky Quest 2 (great game btw, but dev's behavior is questionable imo) was in development for 3 whole years. If I didn't know anything about development I'd say that's "very long for pixel RPG game". Just saying.
- If you are making H-game you can't really advertise it as any other creator can. And good luck with selling your H-game if there's themes that's basically banned. If you don't know what I mean it's mostly about characters with small chests because it's always frowned upon (disclaimers about character's age never helps, it's about visual appearance - height plus tits size), or bestiality (unless animals can talk, that's what was in Patreon's guideline for H-games). At least jp-based devs are still 'protected' from these bullshit guidelines.
And I bet no one will want to put H-game they made on their resume :p

I'd agree with you about scams from western H-devs though. They are also subjects to implement so-called "consensual sex" mechanics just because it's a rule from Patreon ("Rape is bad"). No, I'm not shitting with you here. I've followed projects like Crisis Point and Future Fragments and talked/bug-tested builds for devs while making videos and this is what I heard from them.

Is it like DungeonKeepHer, where there is button to get the character to say she consents to whatever you're doing?

This kind of thinking is one thing that will ALWAYS kill me. Like just because SOME people choose to use a tool as a means to scam people or otherwise do shady things does not mean that EVERY person using a tool has the same intentions. I mean people use banks all of the time to commit fraud so i guess we should burn all of the banks to the ground and call everyone with a bank account a thief. Anyone that uses a wood chipper is a murderer because one guy fed a corpse into it to hide his crime. Its just a really stupid argument.

I played Black Market (emadeplus dev) out of curiosity and I'll just say it's not that great in terms of visuals and UI. But it's more graphical. If you played MBM there's Flora's "dismantle" feature which gets rid of slaves and monsters, turning them into components. It's implied her "dolls" butcher them all. But it's more or less subtle. You still see graphical gore like this, but it's not "gore in your face" kind and it's off-screen killing:

^this is what I mean.

Plus, you don't need to feed monsters and slaves with these resources (in Pre-Release MBM version you HAD to feed your slaves too, it's a cut mechanic). As far as I remember, Black Market game does just that. That dev is all about ryona and gore, so it also happens on screen.

Similar idea, different execution. IMO in Black Market (emadeplus) it just feels gross all around.

Is it like DungeonKeepHer, where there is button to get the character to say she consents to whatever you're doing?
If that's a thing in that game, yeah. It's a safeguard for the dev to not get banned.

what you just read, if "early access or time-payments" didnt exist, we would have another completed game, with less content maybe but completed with all the ideas implemented , not this incomplete thing. "early access" is just another way of scam
No you wouldn't. Most of these games wouldn't exist without Early Access, because the devs couldn't afford to develop them at all.

Without Early Access you would just have less games overall, sure less scams, but also less completed good games.

@Hail Shit!!
You say it about H-gamedev like AAA-gamedev is any better these days.

Early access is early access, don't follow it if you don't like it.

To top it off you also post it on F95, which makes me about ~95% positive you're not paying customer as well. If it's true you have nothing to complain about.

If you follow them on DLsite they say they have full-time jobs and do the development on their free time outside of work.

Btw why does black market banned?
When your prostitutes work, they get pregnant. Then they give birth to little girls. Who are too little. And the customers mistreat little girls too much.
You don't have to actually do cannibalism in that game, unlike Goblin... Brothel.

im gonna be 100% real here, nobody in the internet should make money, NO ONE, this is fucking stupid, from streamers, to adds to whatever the fuck you want, should be banned to be able to earn money doing ANYTHING at all in internet, this was where the fucking humankind failed 15+ years ago. thats why we have so many fucking problems in our world, that's why people think there are more than 2 genders and they are so nonchalanty about shit they talk about they think will not be consecuences , people think its fucking easy to make money, and when you talk about that with streamers they say "oh man, you know nothing, you dont even know how hard is to edit videos and upload them", fuck that shit, my fucking god!!! where are we going with our lives????? WHAT IS HARD IS TO FUCKING WAKE UP TO 5 AM to do a fucking shit job, and dont say "you should have studied" like a fucking moron because people with degrees in law and medicine, are leaving those professions to become streamers and shit like that because they take advantage of morons who see them

this is the same, the exact same. if people would do thins on internet without money, we would still have Filthy Frank and the old fun times where people would do their thing for the love of doing it, not for earn fucking money
At this point, I think we should shift to UBI. So that people would not need to monetize their Internet, and would instead do it for the art. And only actual work would be paid.
But I feel we're getting too far into politics on an H-game forum.

Uh huh and the main issue with that kind of thinking is who gets to determine what "actual" work is and what is deserving of being paid for? Is someone that makes art online deserving of pay or is what they are doing not art but instead "art" so its not worth compensation? Who gets to determine that? It boggles the mind how someone can just spew a bunch of nonsense and claim that people should create things without compensation simply for the love of creating it. Because obviously being tied down to some shitty job where a bunch of billionaires are robbing you of your life while refusing to pay a basic living wage because you cant monetize your creations is a super great idea. People make art and people SELL art. It doesnt matter if you LIKE the art being made or if you agree with it. You cannot and should not stop people from making money off it. Like it or not content creators SHOULD be able to make a living of what they do if they are able to do so. There is a conversation to be had about obvious grifters like lazy reaction youtubers and fucking culture war dipshits but with how politically charged the rant was about genders the guy would probably rush to the defense of most of the grifters.
