This still leaves room for grudges, cause in the end he did the same as his father did, leave her.

And he can still have the option to be in contact with her, and maybe he is aware that he is a piece of trash and feels guilty and that can make you not face the person who makes you feel that, and in the end it makes the problem worst. The result can still be that he stopped "caring" about her but not because he doesnt care, but because he cares and feels guilty, but still he has to be selfish and look for himself.

ITs jsut an improvised background based on the story already set up, ther has to be more, that give thre same result and make more sense and create a more relatable MC, instead of a piece of trash who find his "stepsister" stealing and he is thinking about how hot is the mother of his girlfriend. Cmon!

For a child who has suffered trauma and is under Esatte protection is pretty normal to be provided with a Therapyst, so it would be some excuse to throw this exposition, or just talking to the girlfriend. Gilfriend are girls and gilrs are perceptive, and talking about your life with them i would say its normal if its a somewhow serious relationship.

Was just about to type that, not liking this MC so far. Tiara can be looked at by some as the classic bitchy and mean sister, but to me she has her reasons I sympathize with her, still need to know what exactly got her to this point other then big brother not keeping his promise to look after her. Grief? Abandonment issues? Probably.

It still was an enjoyable game for me and deserves a chance.

The MC fucked up, but people deal with grief in different ways and from the little we saw of him, he doesn't look like a douche, so this can become a good redemption story.
We didn't get a lot of information other than the "life happened and we grew apart", so it could be Tiara pushing him away too, or it could be their mother's wish for him to focus on his studies or something like that. There are a lot of things that could have happened since their father's death and the time we saw them again as adults. It would still be mainly his fault, because as the older one he shouldn't take the easy way out (college/moving away) and be there for his sister, but something like that would make him at least a bit more "redeemable".

Anyway, all I know is that the story left me wanting for more, so the dev did a really good job in that aspect.
It's been a while since I've played a new game and liked it so much.

Pretty good first release, wasn't expecting anything crazy and that's fine cause it did what a first release should do and that's to introduce us to the story, the main characters and what our relationship is with them.. the gf and MC love each other as couples should, the gfs mom disapprove of the MC for her daughter which is cool as well cause hopefully we'll get a chance to change her opinion on him and probably bang her if you choose that path, I chose the opposite of course, don't need to bang the mom when you already dating the daughter .. MCs sister hates him for abandoning her which is chilled as well cause we'll get a chance to redeem ourselves with her eventually.. And there's the red head girl, she seems nice and probably got a thing for the MC(she kinda looked "off" when he told her he has a gf after she kissed him in the alley, that's if you choose to walk her home and tell her you have a gf) and well the MC seems alright can't really say much about him.. Not sure why some people thinks he is trash, never got that vibe but we'll see

Anyways the Game looks promising tho for me the chapter felt pretty short.. Hopefully that changes with the next chapters

You put forward a very interesting and valid point. I would say that you have 3 general alternatives to deal with fathers on incest VNs:

1. Puff, you kill the dad. (Good for feelgood type VN)
2. He is the biggest piece of shit in the world and he will find divine justice halfway through the story. (Good for domination type VN) *I know you will tell me about My New Family's father but you never see that fucker in the story so he is for all intent and purpose already death.
3. He is oblivious to the whole family fucking the MC. (Good for comedy type VN, maybe?)

I believe this classification that I totally pulled out of my ass, serves as a good way to streamline the plots of VNs. It would be difficult to write a likable father character for the MC and then double cross him to steal his wife or fuck his daughter. So sadly we will have to keep attending fake funerals mate.

Option 4: Just let the player be a massive asshole and let the MC steal his dad's wife while dad is still present in the house and having done nothing bad. Then have him walk in on MC fucking his mom. Poor Bob.
