Jump kick is the only thing you need to fight baddies. It hits multiple opponents at once and throws them to the ground.
Don't worry. I am sure next update they will address that and patch it out. You know. New balancing patching with lots of other random graphics and whatnot fixes.

In Poland there's a certain anti-communist quote - "Socialism heroically overcomes difficulties unknown in any other system".
I find it quite fitting in terms of Eromancer updates - heroically overcoming difficulties of his own making, one update at a time!

Honestly i am kinda positively surprised by this update. I like the item system and the various gear onyx has available at this stage looks pretty neat imho. Almost all variations work with the scenes, except for the basic splicer one...if you don't have the default gear equipped, onyx has her toes taken away from her and it results in default look without toes. If you equip the normal sneakers, everything works fine.

That being said, there still isn't a single game over scene (not even a frigging CG placeholder or something, shitloads of fanart out there already), cinematic mode is still awol and still no proper new scenes or even new "transition scenes " (you know the ones that had to be reworked because of patreon apparently) involving onyx. Still no voiceacting whatsoever (Onyx has exactly one "Voiceline", which is her jump) AND you can't set what gear onyx wears in the Gallery, default only. You will have to play the game normally to see the other gear.

Eromacner is still operating at a snails pace while raking in

€18,009
per month

via Patreon alone atm, what the actual shit lmfao. I know i am beating a dead horse by this point with everything i have said, but it is still mindblowing to me.

But as long as people are willing to pay that amount of money, eromancer will be like

And also kudos to the people that still provide us with the new Updates, no matter how scarce they are o7

EDIT: Oh yeah i forgot, onyx now has a new status Portrait for the "Inventory Screen"....which doesn't change whatsoever and doesn't reflect the status of her and the clothes at all :HideThePain:

- and no pregnancies ever even though it is a side scroller parasite in city knockoff, but with 3 D! (has bugs, and ... bugs in there too)

where am i putting this file?
The file goes in C:\Users\[Your User Name]\APPDATA\LocalLow\Eromancer\pure-onyx\Saves

By default the APPDATA folder is hidden. If that's the case, either:

A. Go to the file browser. Under the View>Show/Hide tab check "Hidden files". Should pop up in your user folder with a bunch of .folders

or

B. Press Winkey+r to open the run command. Type in %APPDATA% and click OK. It should open the folder.

they are not even remotely alike at all, themes are not the same (cyberpunk vs apocalypses), gameplay not the same (brawler vs sidescroller), visuals not the same (3D vs 2D) only thing they share are bugs. That doesn't every game with bugs is a Parasite in the City knockoff.

not what i meant. i'm saying it's the same as in it shares the side scroller aspect, and with similar plot line. there is a difference between nitpicking and actually knowing each design choice.

Jesus H. Christ...I think I need to frame this post above my bed. Probably the first I agree with Kitty when it comes to Pure Onyx :D

side-scrolling is a genre which long existed, zombies also long existed. One of the enemies featured clearly looks like the facehugger from Alien, so even their design isn't original. Metroid itself which came long before and has a huge influence in side scrollers was influenced by Alien but at least they tried making their own different version of facehuggers unlike Parasite in the City.

Plot line is also not the same or else MATM would also be a "ripoff" since they both share the same timeline. Parasite in the City's "plot" is the MC escaping a horrible city by shooting her way thru hoards of zombies infected by a parasite and it ends with her actually escaping but hinting she is already infected. That is not an original idea, becoming zombies thru infection was done way earlier in the Resident Evil franchise, they have the biggest influence in regards to that plot line along with Alien and it's sci-fi horror.
