judging from the pace, awhile. It kinda depends when Eromancer wants to consider this game complete and we honestly don't know when that will be as we don't have a roadmap to really understand what the endgame will look like. We could be close to that, we might not be at all. This was supposed to be a side project but really turned into the main project as MatM really hasn't been mentioned at all. My educated guess is years to go.
I agree. It's hard to predict the level of feature creep of this game, and based on past experience we know we can't expect a steady pace.

That being said, Eromancer's current enemy content (by faction) is:

Splicers: Boss, Brute, Thug, Runt, Looter, Chain
Police: Female, Male
Syndicate: Batbunny, Swordbunny
Biomonsters: Vioreaper, Charger, Larvae

That's 13 enemies in 5 years. (I'm not counting the flying ball and mystery-guy vendor because they're in the background or Semi because she's just in a short H-scene, not in game)

For the splicer faction, Eromancer has already announced 4 more enemies "in the pipeline" (meaning their models have been ready for years): FK-Doll, Biker, Grenadier, Dog.

So, if he wants 5-7 factions with 10 enemies or so each (I already talked about this in detail in a previous post)... the game is below 20% completion.

And that's only regarding enemies, then there's stages, story, equipment (8 levels of visual equipment on Onyx), RPG elements, combat mechanics (like throws, skills...), 2 additional playable characters (Malise and Neon), guns, VAs, and the list goes on and on.

i really like this game, but the world is going crazy now, i hope they can finish the game before the world goes more crazy, cuz it will be more difficult
Some info you should know:

  1. Ero's first project is Malise and the Machine, an RPGM game that started around 2014 (or earlier). This year marks its 10th anniversary of existing as a h-game franchise.
  2. In 2018, Malise and the Machine halted all progress updates in favor of introducing Pure Onyx, this is where we at right now. This year marks its 6th anniversary.
  3. In 2022, while Pure Onyx is still in development, Ero announced a new project called XXXIV. Going by the Roman numbers, this is probably some sort of video or image set involving porn of our beloved ladies across multiple fandoms (e.g. Nyotengu from DOA, 2B from NieR, you name it). The last update was in October 2022 and we never heard of it mentioned or updated. What it did produce was a few 3D renders, some of which are wireframe in nature, and a few sketches involving various positions and characters... and an 8K figurine (perhaps) of Olga Discordia.
  4. Ero's focus now is bug fixing and developing content for Pure Onyx, leaving the other two projects in development limbo. Whether or not we will see Project XXXIV and Malise and the Machine again is... similar to waiting for Valve to tease us about Half-Life 3.
During this timeline, I have finished college, got a degree, and finished three, yearly TOEFL/IELTS tests to keep my English sharp. Can't afford to get it dull! :D

As Teemo said, hope is a dangerous thing.

I was talking about YOUR thoughts on the matter. Especially regarding the claim, that F95 is set out to "damaging western businesses and influence.
Oki, my thoughts are that it's very strange for him to randomly claim that and not have anything to back it. He must have some convincing evidence that led him to make that statement. So my stance is neither "its true" or "its false", it's more towards plausible. I don't see it as an "exaggeration" as you do, I'm open to hearing him out.

I think the reason why people think Eromancer's statement is an "exaggeration" is the fact that Eromancer implies the whole F95 forum is responsible for his Patreon account closure, rather than a few bad actors that did so for brownie points on the internet. People do not take kindly into something they haven't done, the best they can offer is to ask a question of why would they be lumped into something they don't do and sometimes even be persistent about it.

Claiming the Reds or otherwise Eromancer et al. competitor(s) for foul play while having little evidence to back it up is a harmful thought as a project leader. I don't think it's wise to blame one side to prove they're in the wrong without asking questions first and hearing what they know about the matter.

I'm not much in the know as you do since you've been supporting him for quite some time, now. I wish him good luck and hope that he can recover whatever he lost and this issue is resolved without anyone being harmed/harassed. :D

People can make statements in anger and when they are not thinking straight. In this case;
  1. Patreon had given some assurance that all was ok on the bestiality front (see Ero Twitter),
  2. I suspect Patreon did not say much in their comms when they investigated and banned him,
  3. Ero has lost $20k per month,
  4. Ero has lost contact with the patrons (no backup of email addresses)
I'm not gloating on this, I see it as probably an exaggeration but unless Patreon say 5, 10, 20 people complained we will never know (Ero might not even know). I tend to think Patreon is changing its view on the more 'edgy' adult games, which is not a good thing for us in general. They are not so reliant on the adult (dirty), or want to keep it balanced so adult is not a big percentage of overall business (i.e. be classified as a porn site).

If you don't like a game or the release schedule simply don't support the game financially through what ever crowd funding site the developer is using. But to actively try and shut down the game because others do like it enough to support it or because you can't pirate it fast enough is a bitch move, plain and simple.

Points out to another cow

Aren't they got SubscribeStar in case Patreon's gone?
SubscribeStar is the place where they were supposed to be for some time already. Bestiality or not, theme of the game would make it a problem for Patreon...eventually.

I won't say anything about that "milking" as of yet because, based on what Eromancer was saying for over a year now, they will be free to do whatever they want once they moved to SS in full...well, it happened, now is the time to see how much their words are worth. I'm giving it 5 months to see an avalanche of uncensored content, both old and new.

That reminds me of what happened to Tumblr. When they removed and prohibited adult content from their platform they ended up losing half their members.

Not sure who hard Gamejolt was hit when they banned sexual content while leaving gore, but they took a decent hit as well. Hell, I don't even her about that site anymore outside one obscure franchise that I follow.

The way I see it, Ero 'shouldnt' have a problem if all the people who backed them simply move to SS. And if they can't get a majority of those backers back, its very easy to assume Ero was milking people who forgot to remove their subscription.

Obviously it's in Ero's right to be pissed off they lost a good chunk of revenue (And valuable backer information), but there's only so much twitter spamming you can do before you realize you should just start releasing content more consistently and abundantly to raise morale of the community and get backers back.

Actions speak louder than words, and Ero is saying a lot of words.
In reality land, no one cares about what's holding your game back or what misfortunes you're going through. Deep down, your customers want to know the product they invested in is progressing meaningfully, will get to them sooner than later, and bare minimum functions enough to play.

Though all they really have to do is do exactly that for a month or two, get backers back, and go right back to their current schedule to fuck people over again anyway. What the hell do I know.
