Wow, I've seen now dude was getting only 53$/month.
Honestly that is not worth anyone effort. I understand him pulling the plug. Anyway it was not bad at all (grinding aside), kudos for the effort.

If you see it as a job or at least a project to earn money, that's a valid consideration - but I can remember a time when it was common for people to produce freeware games just because they COULD. Of course people can't expect much from such projects - since they're done as a mere hobby - but you have to look at the 'consumers' side too; and waiting months or even years for content updates of projects that are rather barebone content wise won't keep your fan-community alive.

Adult themed games seem to be a special case in this regard - it really seems like there are many people who can produce 'lewd art' on a above average level who think they can also make their art into a game with their basic level coding- & gamedesign-skills. What we (the community) end up with is a mass of Ren'Py, HTML & RPG-Maker projects that are in 'early alpha' for years - games where basically everyone is immediately asking for unlock- or cheat-codes, because there is only one real use for them.

I personally value every effort by people developing games - but if you want to do it for the money, you have to deliver sooner or later - that's the simple truth.

PyTFall is (was?) one of those projects with rather good potential gameplay-wise - but I can understand when people are only willing to give the developer their money, if there is either already some solid content or at least a reasonable chance that such is coming soon. And since PyTFall isn't even a project known for its built-in 'lewd art', all there really is to value is the game.

But let's be real here; trying to build a solid framework when it comes to game mechanics in Ren'Py wasn't the best idea to begin with. Sad to see such effort goes to waste...

I believe PyTFall is a hobby project that earned an abandoned tag. At the other forum(Pinkpetal), this game has been in development since 2010 with only three or four updates which include bug fixes.

As with all hobby projects your lucky to get one update per year. Haramase Simulator is a hobby project that hasn't had an update since Feb 2018.

Maybe this forum needs a sub topic for hobbies like they do for the popular games. Then give the devs three years before earning an abandoned tag.

Edit: Added forum name and correct date since concept.

I wouldnt call Pytfall dead. Ive been following the game for a long time now. Basically it comes down to two people, Xela and Dark. Xela being the main programmer. He also takes many vanishing acts.

This isnt the first, and likely not the last. I dont expect it to die for good, if it seems as though Xela is done, Dark would most likely take over. The fact Dark hasnt is a good indicater Xela believes he will return. Out of the two, Dark appears to be the one who cares about Pyt the most, that could be because hes more social, but Dark has taken way fewer breaks. They may both be absent right now, but I suspect its only temporary.

To further emphasise this thought, they have a third member of their team the artist, he doesnt work on Pytfall, but the three make other games together, The Worst. They are currently making Ciri Trainer, which is still active. The worst posted on Patreon Dec 2, showing off an animation, Dark is still active in The Worst discord, so the group is still together.

I havent played, nor have been following Ciri Trainer. It will likely slow down without Xela as well. Although I doubt as much as Pytfall, since it is a side project.

In conclusion = On Hold > Abandoned

Edit: Taking a look around, it appears as if Xela may have left the trio, but Xela did work on some of their other games like Girls In the Big City. Yet Dark still being active is relevent.

News from the discord, Xela is back apparently. Said coding won't resume until January but thought some peeps here might wanna know.
thats great news, i still follow this thread just for these type of updates, i genuinely think this is one of my favorite games on this forum and was so sad when it got the abandoned tag. if the dev was willing to go full time id gladly support.

how do u make a profit with your brothel? any1 know
Make sure the girl has at least 3-4 stars in all sex skills, depending on how high level she is/the brothel is. Make sure her Charisma/Con are max or high. Mostly it comes down to just having a shit ton of workers though, and the brothel being maxed on fame. Girls won't make much more than 50 per customer and because of the energy limit, they will probably only service like 4-8 people at max a day. If she's happy enough she'll get extra AP. Oh, and make sure to avoid lesbians. I think there's a book to turn them bisexual if you can find it (I know there's a lesbian one), but they're really a pain to manage as prostitutes.

You want to eventually remove the living quarters from the starter brothel building for more work space. Buy the slave housing to keep your slaves in. You'll start to see decent returns when you have a couple brothels running with filled working spaces.

It's never really meant to replace diving any time soon for money making, but it's consistent income that doesn't cost any energy once all your girls are trained.

Posted an example of a daily end screen after a year. There are 19 girls working in the 3 brothel and I'm still only making about 6k a day from it.

When Xela announced he was back, I was waiting until some activity on the git began. Due to how silent he has been on discord, I was concerned that he just claimed he was back just to vanish again.

But, looks like he did update git three days ago. Which is nice. However minor it is. Still, its something. Even if its something that appears to be related to the UI.
