Why didn't the developer complete this game and abandon it? I fear he'll abandon this game as well.
It's interesting that the characters in that game look very similar to this one.
From what I remember the writer of the first game ghosted from the project and nobody knows what happened to him so they were unable to finish it, RoL has a new writer

Hi everyone!
I’m happy to share that I managed to get all the scenes into the code, transcribed and ready for production, because Joshua officially finished writing the entire Episode 4!
Unfortunately, I was offline for about a week - something caught me, and I spent some time in bed with a fever. It did shake up my plans a bit, though. I focused on transcribing because I just didn’t have the energy or inspiration for making images or animations.
But starting yesterday, I’m back to rendering, and there are about 1,000 images left to finish this update! You might think that’s a lot - or maybe not so much - but I have a realistic deadline in mind. I won’t promise anything until I’m closer to the finish line. A lot depends on how fast I can get through the remaining animations as well. Right now, I’m fully focused on the renders, and I hope to check them off my “to-do” list quickly.
I’m also excited to share that the next mini-game is done!
It’s completely optional and not related to the races or lewd scenes- something completely different - but still very much in the style of Race of Life. I hope some of you will have fun with it!
On top of that, we finally started working on SFX for the lewd scenes! Each girl will have different moans and slightly different dynamics, and personally, I really like how it’s turning out. Of course, there will be a separate button to turn off the sounds for anyone who prefers not to have them. For now, we’re focusing only on Episode 4 because there’s already plenty of content there - we’re not adding sounds to Episodes 1–3.2 yet.
On other fronts, I’ve started preparing the game for Steam testing. Act 2 will start a little differently for those who didn’t play Act 1, so I had to code most of this, and I hope to send the game to Steam for review sometime next week.
Also, there’s still some time left to vote in the poll for the theme of Maggie’s extra scene!

Well, the script is done. A little polishing will always be needed as we implement it, and the beta readers might have some suggestions too, but it's a big milestone on the way to delivery.
I'll start on the bonus scene next, then come back to address any feedback from the team.
In the meanwhile, I'll be taking a break for a week to spend in the sun on a beach. I'm not a cocktail guy, but I might make an exception there.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys think about ep 4, there are a few surprises, a few twists, but as always, some racing, some drama, and boobs. Lots of boobs.

There are a few examples where this works perfectly fine (don't wanna name them cause it could be framed as "off topic") and I have a lot of trust in this team. IF you do not like it you're always able to mute it. But I think some devs should be braver and include moans/sex sounds and stuff to make scenes even more intense cause GOOD sounds can do a LOT to sex scenes.

I just wish you could mute moans and keep the other sounds. I hate moans but ive played games where it had the other sex sounds and I do love it when those are included.

Good devs should definetly be able to give you the option to turn on/off whatever you want. Depends on how "lazy" a dev is I guess.
I definetly know AVNs where you can decide what you want to hear in detail.couldnt agree more and i realize you're like me an Amelie fan haha, best milf ever by the way

The MC definitely loves his daughter. He'd do anything for her. Why can't he set her photo as wallpaper on his phone? In my opinion, this should be the default wallpaper.

The idea of having a photo of your daughter next to a sea of lewd/nude photos of beautiful ladies (including your ex-wife) feels a little weird lol.

tbh I think having a lewd / nude as your wallpaper feels a bit weird too cause id be worried someone would see unless you don't care. I mean in an AVN it is one.

Oh yeah, that was just a joke on my part. Jokes aside, both of your guys points would be valid in any normal situation.
I think it's logical for a loving parent to have a photo of their child as their wallpaper. However, in this case, everything is there except for the daughter (even the car is there, but the most important thing is missing).
And by the way, having photos of your students as wallpaper is clearly not the best idea.

Man, I'm trying to do some Veronica routes to get all the lewds, but she is not making it easy. Girl's got some serious attachment issues and hisses every time another woman comes within 50 feet like she's a vampire in an Italian restaurant. I get that she's insecure but damn is it insufferable to have to sit back and watch her flip out every time Jake talks to a woman. I can only hope the sex is worth it...

That's pretty accurate, it definitely completely bricked my interest in that character for sure. Insecurity isn't sexy and is just a massive red flag.
Allison is honestly one of my favourite LI's/stories in basically any VN I've played and I'd be more than fine if the game was just about trying to mend a relationship broken to such an extreme degree.
It's a pretty realistic depiction of traversing a road where trust was broken entirely, and the MC having been a complete cunt.

Yeah, but it's funny when you bring her and Jasmine to the conference (maybe even Natalya). The conference can be played in many many different ways it was so well done.

I mean hell, some insecurity is fine. I get that she, like Jake, is still dealing with trauma from past relationships and trying to avoid the same mistakes. I think she's going about that in a completely terrible way, by getting over-attached to a man who had been very up front about the relationship being a casual fling to get over his ex, but I get it.
What frustrates me is that, at least as far as I've seen(just getting to her conference scene now) she doesn't have any real development along that path. There's no growth from her. There's a bit of growth from Jake, when it's convenient, showing that he can open up and bond more meaningfully with V. But it still feels like everything in the relationship needs to happen on her terms, that she can't give him more than a few inches of space to work on his project or save his daughter before acting like an abandoned puppy or a territorial mama bear. Even when she does things that are ostensibly to help Jake, like attending events to help the battery project or distracting him from his troubles, her clinginess always marrs it in some way.
I haven't done dedicated paths for everyone yet, but the two characters I went deepest with in my main run, Jasmine and Maggie, have definitely had growth and been explored as characters with legitimate depth. Allie too, and while I haven't done a ton with Nat there's plenty of obvious hints at something deeper beneath the surface. Like, fuck, Alexa and Kris have had more character development than Veronica has!
I hope that, in future updates, Jake will set some boundaries with V. Not just about other women close to him, but in general. It's not healthy for either of them if she fixates on him this way and he doesn't reciprocate. He is, at this moment, not capable of giving her what she wants, and she's too desperate to make things work that she can't or won't see it. Either she needs to back up a bit and be willing to give him the space he needs to sort his shit out, while dealing with a couple of her own issues, or they need to go their separate ways. Obviously I know my pick for my main run, but given she's a central love interest the former is going to need to be dealt with too.

True. Watching Jasmine tease her has been easily the best part of the Veronica run. Though that yoga scene is a close second...

I mean yeah, everyone understands why she's acting the way she's acting, but it doesn't make it right. Even if you have the best intentions or valid excuses, there are still consequences to the actions you are taking and having insecurity and jealousy rule you to the point of wanting to micromanage your significant others' social interactions is a VERY quick way to ending a relationship.
And I fully agree with the rest of your post, Veronica at this stage of the game feels exactly like she did at the beginning stage of the game, nothing has changed and her behaviour has a way of souring every scene she is in that involves other women.
