I mean yeah, everyone understands why she's acting the way she's acting, but it doesn't make it right. Even if you have the best intentions or valid excuses, there are still consequences to the actions you are taking and having insecurity and jealousy rule you to the point of wanting to micromanage your significant others' social interactions is a VERY quick way to ending a relationship.

And I fully agree with the rest of your post, Veronica at this stage of the game feels exactly like she did at the beginning stage of the game, nothing has changed and her behaviour has a way of souring every scene she is in that involves other women.

Did you reach her final scene ? There's a clearly path for change...

Respectfully, if it's taken 2 years of development to reach a point where she might understand that her behaviour is destructive, I'm expecting the same amount of development time to reach a point where she's almost tolerable and it isn't exactly making me like the character more.

The fact that it's been this long, means that she either doesn't realize or doesn't believe that her behaviour is an issue and that she has had no interest in getting better in that regard. Even if she comes to that realization now, it's just too little too late.
I think this is the one character in any VN I've played where I'm just not going to do a run with her as a focus.

From what I remember the writer of the first game ghosted from the project and nobody knows what happened to him so they were unable to finish it, RoL has a new writer
It was nothing like you remember. Jacchu and the writer had creative differences about the story direction and then decided split away, it was explained in that time.

...Was there? We're talking about the scene from the conference, right?
Yes, Veronica turned into something else that can both explain why she is the way she is and at the same time can open new paths for the future. I'm really intrigued.

I was like you before and I tossed her aside quickly to focus on Jasmine and Allison, but Veronica route has me very intrigued now.

She's more interesting to me than Maggie, which is the "perfect next door girl" trope and it's fine, but Veronica is a bit more unique and I'm curious to see what her future holds.

All Race of Life women are incredible and deserve a save dedicated to them.

I guess I must've missed it, then. Enlighten me?

All that being said, there's a world of difference between fantasy and reality, and it coming from someone who's neurotic, clingy and possessive to the point of her feeling more like a stalker than a significant other.. not exactly buying it.

If it does happen then that's honestly a pretty massive 180 degree turn for no reason other than to 'fix' her behaviour.

Just imagine a possible future scene on Veronica's path:
Jake invited Veronica to his place and also he had given Jasmine the keys from his apartment to bring in some reports on the project. So after a romantic diner with Veronica they go to sleep and Jasmine sneaks into his flat. The redhead gets totally aroused by the idea of cockqueening the rival and fucks Jack next to sleeping Veronica.
And additionally an optional kink. After Jake cummed inside Jasmine's ass she decides to pour it out on Veronica's sleeping face (mouth)

I find it interesting that the biggest incentive for Veronica is the possible scenes she would trigger with Jasmine XD

That's around where I am with her as well. I like Jas more as a character across the board.

But I would much rather V walked in on me banging a tied-up Alexa. I love that crazy little nut.

Man, I'm trying to do some Veronica routes to get all the lewds, but she is not making it easy. Girl's got some serious attachment issues and hisses every time another woman comes within 50 feet like she's a vampire in an Italian restaurant. I get that she's insecure but damn is it insufferable to have to sit back and watch her flip out every time Jake talks to a woman. I can only hope the sex is worth it...
Agreed, this is why she's in Canada with her sister in all my playthroughs.

I see we are at the point where people complain about Veronica and have double standards for her "supposed" actions again. Really cool.

Veronica is perfect and lovely and people are just hating to hate.
What double standard? She's an overly clingy person who didn't appear to respect that your child was in the hospital. Sure, the MC might have been a shit husband, but that doesn't mean he's going to value random pussy over his own blood. These aren't "supposed" actions, these ones are objective facts.

I don't have terribly strong opinions about the love interests and the game as a whole (after a strong beginning, it drags for years in development and became mediocre), my impression is that Veronica is forced on the MC at the beginning, which is in contrast to the game highlighting itself through choices and controlling MC as one sees fit. Secondarily, she doesn't have much of a mystery, conflict or twist. She is the safe and boring girlfriend without drama, which is tricky to pull off in a video game designed around challenges and ups and downs. The other love interests are significantly more intriguing.

I might add, many of us played a finished version of act 1 directly this year without the waiting hence we enjoyed the game far more than those who waited years for updates.

Ah, yes, we value our own daughter so much, we go around hooking up with students or random girls( I have no problem with this, but if people have problem with Veronica, they should have problem with this too). But yeah, let's put all the blame on someone who loves and supports MC, and just wants to be there for us and know we are there for her too, by defining the relationship. So yeah, double standards.

But I am not going to argue anymore with you and the others. Think whatever you want, this topic is just annoying to see every time, blaming a great girl.

Yeah, I do like the other LIs more especially Jasmine and Alsion. And I know people hate forced GF's at start. She may not have anything huge, she may be more safe choice, but that doesn't make her bad. It's just tiring seeing people shit on her for no reason over and over again.

If you think that Veronica is a great girl without faults, I genuinely beseech you to consider looking into therapy, because her flavour of possessiveness, insecurity and jealousy is not in any way healthy. If this is just what you are used to, then I am sorry to hear that you've had to experience people like that.

If you just like red flags and you know that you do, then more power to you I guess.
