Old saves don´t work anymore ... I am sick and tired of devs who which each and every update force the player to start over and over again.
they do. if you used the incest patch on 1.2 you have to use it also on v 2 in order for the save to work. or you are using an outdated mod. anyway it's a pebkac issue.

Watching some replies here is starting to be bad for my health honestly.
To keep things clear, this chapter 2 got 758 renders, which is more than ch1 had.
The animations for the sex scene were over 2000 images. It took me over a week just to animate everything, and took a entire month to render. I do have staff that helps rendering, but they have 2 other games to render too.
I put most effort into Radiant, but I have staff members to manage and teach.
I manage my staff to work on my older game Tale of Eros, and I work on Neko Paradise when I have free time.
Each month I have animations to make for Tales from the Unending Void too of Perverteer.
Not to mention I'm also still in learning process.
That's why chapter two was way better in quality than the first one, because I improved a lot in the process of learning.

If I would only, but only work on Radiant with Sir Dammed, without the need of taking time to still master Daz, 2 months and half would be a possible update schedule perhaps. (I've been learning Daz for almost 2 years now, Daz kinda needs 5 years to master normally, some people use it for over 5 years and haven't mastered it yet though. "cough")
Though I'm managing to get my own game updates out each 3 months normally and also with Perverteer's game each 2 or 3 months.
Sometimes I even help other developers with Daz problems everytime I can, so that you players, can get to play the games and come here and complain about us or me taking too much time.
Honestly if I wasn't here, I'm sure a lot of people would have a lot more to complain about. Not to mention, the adult visual novels will be hitting higher standards because developers are forced to, just so they can compete, which is a good thing for players.

When I see people talk about certain stuff, that sometimes makes no sense to me. Shows that there is a big lack of information to the user. While I explicitly have open posts a lot of information about me.
We never hid anything to supporters and all cards are played in open field and view.
The only thing that had to improve was communication in certain points, which is a issue we will fix.

The game characters, some want the triplets, some don't want them and prefer the other characters.
Each player has a different preference and our plans won't change no matter what people say.
The game is meant to be enjoyable in a wide range of player base and will be kept with that intention.

Polishing the game to this quality of chapter 2, making the new characters for Radiant which includes some for other chapters too. Took almost a entire month, including new hardware installation during the process and a lot of moving things around my house. I lost a lot of time. Not everything is just about production. And I will mention again the learning process, to work with the polished characters and everything.

So at the end, even if I hadn't been sick and in the hospital two times. getting in those 7 months 4 or 5 updates out of other games and still managing to get chapter two out now which huge visual improvement and a animation which I haven't seen any yet with that quality made in Daz (the application most use for AVN's), it was still a impressive undertaking which a lot of people fail to see... at least here. Probably because of the lack of information which I talked about...
And the reason I even end up in the hospital, is because I'm too ambitious and overwork myself.
I end up working all day and sleeping 6 hours or less sometimes wich isn't that healthy of course, but I just can't stop.
When it comes to making games I'm like a workaholic, I feel the need to keep on working on something.

Of course the plan for the upcoming releases is not something ridiculous as 7 months. I personally plan to not take more than 4 months at best, but you just never know what happens in life. So lets keep the expectation to one year just to make sure we don't disappoint anyone here with a delay. I really hate to disappoint people after all I swear.
And to make sure I don't lose unnecessary time anymore and not feel stressed out I will un-watch this thread and keep my leave.
Anyone is welcome to talk with me on discord, I'm a nice guy and I swear I won't be mean.
Have a nice weekend everyone. (y)
Oops, I turned down the waitress...trying to be a decent guy and thinking she was touched in the head. Now I need to go back to check out the sexy time scene

Last time I put this here it was removed, but I feel the need, once more, to briefly talk about how the devs aren't exploiting anyone. The devs of this game, and of all the other games are absolutely not exploiting other people with their Patreons.

While there is something to be said for pace of work, and quality of work being done, people who complain that the devs are being exploitative, or the wait is unacceptable are simply illogical. Every single day, I see people come here and bitch - I always see non-patrons coming here to complain about wait times, or make the same lame joke every single day before the mods clean it up once more.

Ultimately, what determines whether the patrons are being exploited or not is not the devs, but the patrons themselves and their opinion as to what they expect from their payment. That is the Patreon model. You give people money because you like what they're doing. This is not a subscription service - paying developers is not required, as shown by forums such as this one. One can pay the game entirely for free.

So, people pay the devs because they think the devs deserve it - because they believe in the project. They choose what to do with their expendable income, and ultimately, if they feel as though they are being ripped off (as a patron) they can choose to cancel at any time. As Patron levels have remained steady, it is clear that the patrons themselves - those funding the development of this project - do not feel ripped off, or exploited.

Clearly, they themselves are fine with the wait. The devs can take as long as they want to create a new update - so long as the patrons feel as though the project is worth supporting, they will continue doing so. The devs do not exploit the patrons, the patrons choose to continue supporting them.

They continue supporting the project because they feel as though they can do that with their income.
Ultimately you have no responsibility to care about the spending of the expendable income of other people.

Can we please, at least, leave this post up this time? The logic makes sense, regardless - it is not off topic, as we're discussing Radiant and it's devs, and having it here would let me link to it in the future when, doubtless, people start talking of the wait yet again.
Its actually more accurate to suggest they would be exploiting the patreon model. That being said, its entirely possible to exploit people without them knowing. Still think exploit is a rather hard word to use for it though

1. The art work is really top notch.
2. The sex scene animation was also top notch. Maybe one of the best I've ever scene.
3. The story has legs. I need time to play again to digest fully but seems not too bad.
4. The amount of content for the update was sizable. Now was it 7-10 months sizable, well maybe not. That said I understand these games take a lot of effort and work. Especially at the level of art the Devs are doing. Sometimes perfection is the enemy of something...to quote something. That said I think people need to give the Devs a chance to deliver a timely 3rd and 4th update before jumping down their throats. They had other games going on and other work. They had personal issues. I think it's reasonable to assume the popularity of the game took them by surprise and they've had to move work around and shuffle their pipelines around etc.
5. I'm currently a pirate. But I whole heartedly believe the game will earn my support when I see a few more timely releases of this caliber.
6. Let's just give the Devs a bit more time to breathe and entertain us. They all do this b/c they love telling stories. They love to entertain us and share in our passions. It's frustrating things didn't go as we'd have liked but let's give the Devs a chance. Play and support something else while you wait.
7. Hoping for more at a consistent and steady clip.
8. Thanks to Devs and Patreons for making the game happen.

Job pretty well done.

Let me explain this question shortly: I don't want to be a dominant asshole first thing when Maddie acts like a cunt. That would be fucking unreasonable. But when she continues that shit, obviously that will change.
This is how I approach Maddie: In my version of the MC he's mostly confused but also kind of angry that Gracie never told him about the girls. He's been out of the coma for a while. Either she stopped paying attention and didn't know he was out (kind of unlikely considering the letter) or she deliberately withheld the information.

So when Maddie starts acting out he's got a target for some of that anger. As a result he came down on her hard. And will continue to do so.

In my world it doesn't feel wrong to discipline her. It's not being an asshole. It's making her aware that she and her sisters are a having a major impact on your life and she could be grateful instead of difficult.

To be fair, I'm also deliberately wanting to go down the dark path. It's just that Maddie is making it an easier choice. I'll have a separate play through where I take a lighter path because I also want to see how that one goes. But first time through is lust + dark.

Of course, that doesn't have to be how you play him.

From my perspective you seem to be doing fairly well with communication in recent weeks. I can't comment on before then because I was not following this thread or the discord.

As for those whose comments are affecting you negatively, I've begun liberal use of the ignore feature. At first I was giving people two or three chances. Now I've developed a "one chance only" rule for certain types of posts. E.g., anyone who, having just got the update, is making what they think of as "jokes" about how long the next will take.

But I understand your decision to unwatch this thread.

Looking forward to playing the update tonight!

I like the story and CG's. A bit unrealistic in how fast the attraction towards the MC works but i can look over it knowing the mom got nocked up at their first night and they never met their dad so it's in the genes i guess? One thing i can't get over is the unrealistic way the neighbor is introduced. Maybe he is a vindictive bastard for whatever reason but still a cop wouldn't be that stupid if he wants to get to someone. It's illegal to block and and demand ID on own property without warrant and the gotcha/cliffhanger is a clear invasion of privacy lawsuit to happen.

well the quality of the game render and animation wise improved a lot. it was top notch in v 1.2 and got EVEN BETTER. but the writing didn't sadly. while the initial release built a great sad outline of the backstory leading to the point where we are now that made you empathise and care for the characters well it turned ridiculous with this update sadly. there were consistency errors. there are otherwise hardly believeable plot points. i don't know. after the first release i was hoping to see a more well written story in this update. however it turned really around for me.

consistency errors and kinda weird plot points:
natalie invites you to a cafe. there she asks you why you invited her? makes no sense.
the mc just basically comes from a relaxation period after having some days off and after the event with natalie he just sleeps for 18 hours straight? i mean sure possible but sososososo unlikely. everyone is different sure but from my own point of view it's just bs. i wouldn't sleep that long if i was awake 3 days straight prior to going to bed. and i'm talking from experience here. i just don't buy it.
then after sleeping through all the day he wanted to spend with his daughters that (bare in mind) just came there and he didn't know about 3 days ago he just agrees to go on a date the very next day and spent all afternoon with a co-worker and meanwhile fucking a waitress instead of being with his daughters. i don't know. not what i'd do to be frank here.
the antagonist plot. this guy lived next to mc forever. ofc is a corrupt police officer. mc's house apparently belonged to his grandfather. and he is coming forward NOW because why? he is apparently jelly cause mc has a bigger house and better car and small dicks around cause of the daughters now. like why he has everything money, house, car, cute girls etc. and i have nothing. okay it works as antagonist but it's kinda stereotypical really.
worst of all: the usual porn game irresistible mc syndrome. every girl that comes across mc just NEEDS to have his dick inside and bare his children. i mean his own daughter just met him 3 days ago and presents herself half nude inside a changing room. natalie just wanted to kill him 2 min ago and i'm almost certain already that she will want to fuck him in the hymen whatever hotel room 69 in the next update. the models at work, brooke, the waitress. they all just fall for him left and right.
to me this is just kind of immersion breaking.
just my 2 cents on the update so tldr: i think from the writing and story the first release was far better. however Alorth outdid himself with the renders and animation here.

When I initially played 0.1, the game felt good. I'm not sure if I felt the same after playing 0.2. I'm a bit conflicted because there are a lot of good things in 0.2, but there are also bad things that didn't exist in 0.1.

I think the biggest problem with the game so far is that there are too many things happening, and I don't think the writing is good enough to tie them all up together nicely. So we ended up with a somewhat awkward situation now where we have a mix of a lot of good and also a lot of bad.

To go deeper, we can look at it this way:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I feel like the key theme here is that the dev wants to offer potential love interests that are not the three girls. But instead of writing it in a way where the MC get to interact with them to give them a reason to like the MC, the writing starts straight away with all the girls already liking him which makes it feel weird because we have no idea why it's happening.

And on top of that, Glenn is an extremely weird character. Do we need antagonist in the game? Maybe. But there needs to be a reason why the character is an antagonist for it to work. What we got so far is that he hated MC for the sports car and the house that used to belong to his grandpa. With all due respect to the dev, what in the bloody donut kind of reasoning is that? Surely MC paid money to buy the house and not just friggin steal the house from dude's grandpa, right? So why is he pissed off? And there's nothing illegal about owning a sports car whatsoever. It's also weird that Glenn hates MC for "intrusively large house" but that very same damn large house was his grandpa's ... like wtf is exactly the problem? Then not only that, Glenn apparently also has an intrusively large house of his own because he had no problem taking photo of MC's pool area from above the wall/fence.

I don't know ... I feel like the foundation of the game at 0.1 was really strong, but then it took a few completely wrong turn in 0.2 that now we're kind of stuck in the middle of nowhere. My half-empty glass thinks that it's going to be hard to steer this back onto the right track in 0.3.

You can't take the forums too seriously, this place can be really toxic some times. Just do your game, take some feedback and ignore post from beggars and trolls.
The game is free, you don't owe anything to anyone here.

Great story and update, but it felt really short for the time it took.

I agree with many others, we have enough drama in the game, the Officer crap feels off and unnecessary

All in all, great game

I really enjoyed this update, new interesting and sexy characters were introduced, as well as a villain - neighbor cop. Splendid renders, writing and pacing.

I would've easily supported them with a doubt, if the devs weren't occupying themselves with 2 other games simultaneously. As 7 months for a standard update (not huge or anything) is simply too much. :cautious:

A 3 month cycle is perfectly fine and reasonable, if they focus on Radiant only, and no other games, that's certainly attainable for them. The amount of love interests introduced is also a bit of a stretch, but it's wide scope and lays the ground for lots of sex until you get to the triplets - which is meant to be the peak of the game. So that's fine in my opinion. But any more then what we already have would just be too distracting and extend the game's development for years.
