Disappointed in the update no interest in other characters than the triplets so the content for this update was pointless. Should have options to completely ignore the multitude of other females that were shoved in your face and spend more on them.
Alorth's efforts are very much appreciated here.

You have those options; don't have sex with Vanessa and consider the "date" with Brooke professional. This will effectively reject them so you're not forced into doing anything sexual with them, but they may, particularly Brooke, still factor into the story because, at the end of the day, this is a narrative-driven VN which means these characters will have a purpose, even if you reject them, and you'll likely still have to spend some time with them.
But the triplets will get the most focus in this game as this was essentially part 2 of the introduction to the game.

Holy, even you surely have to admit the timing of the date / professional meeting with Brooke was poor (let's just ignore Vanessa totally)? He's got three grieving girls at home that's just had their world thrown upside down and met their father for the first time and most of that time since meeting them is spent sleeping; the girls on the first day & him on the second.
Fair enough he had to go to work, which given the circumstances was dodgy imo, but then accepts a date/ meeting with Brooke that could easily have been put off till later without rejecting her. "Brooke, I'd absolutely love to go get that drink with you, however today is just not a good time. My life has just been turned on it's head and I can't go as much as I want to. I promise to tell you all about when we get that drink in a couple days, ok?"
She asked about it because she was about to have her first job the day after. So it's not something to "put off", it's either "yes or no"

That was an excuse to get you out. That work conversation could easily have taken place in the last 10 min of the working day in your office.

Not really, because it's something we see play out quite a lot in fiction where the protagonist has a young relative or "ward" of some sort basically dropped on their doorstep and they don't deal with it as rationally as you might expect them to because they are also processing the sudden change in their life and it makes them unsure of how to handle it whilst also not really handling it. Manchester By The Sea is a good example, where Casey Affleck's character is placed in charge of his late brother's son and is, in large part, a story of someone who doesn't know how to care for a teenage boy not knowing what to do about him and what's best for him as he tries to maintain his regular life.
It can take a while for people to come to terms with a new reality like this and to know what needs to be done, and we saw that here with the MC, after a few days, acknowledging that they need to take some time off work in order to get to know the girls, and that's where this is likely to go for the next few updates.
I think some people are projecting "how I imagine I would have handled situation X" (despite most likely never having been in anything remotely like situation X) and from that making an illogical leap to "that's the only realistic way to handle situation X".

So is it just me who can't get my saves from 0.1 to load? It crashes when I try to load it up, thought maybe it had to do with mod or something (been a while since 0.1 so can't remember if a mod was on) but when I click ignore it starts from the beginning

Yeah side girls for early lewd contend are fine, but it's just the 2nd version and still introduction stage, there really was no need for it. Also even side girls should be a bit fleshed out, not just jumping to sex...
As for the scene, top quality no question there.
It's just as u said, that much work/time/resources invested for a scene which feels out of place and many likely don't even want go for it (at least those which like Brooke).
If all that work would have gone into the MC/triplet relationship, this would have been so much more satisfactory + u could have both, triplet bonding time and introduction of characters.

And while I generally agree with it, some are clearly exaggerating (perhaps due to a long wait?). Come on, despite all the flaws it was nice and interesting to play this update. Maybe not that good as we hoped, but certainly not that bad as some pointed, and it's still beggining of the story.

It's a very good start ! I love the idea ! I will follow closely I want the rest of the story!
So, I've played through twice before deciding how I feel about this...
I said before that my support of this game was conditional, and depended on what I saw from this update and from the devs afterward.
On the whole, as a player I'm pretty neutral. I try to imagine if I were playing a completed game, and I got this far in it, would I be excited. Well, I'd be excited about the triplets, but that's about it. I don't know how much of this update was focused on them, but it FELT like less than half. I could give a shit about any of the side characters. I completely understand why they exist, and I'm not complaining about that, but personally I'm not looking forward to finding out what happens to coworker 1 and 2 or whatever 7 months from now. I don't care. I hate the Officer Orifice storyline with a passion, because every minute spent creating and rendering his scenes is a minute longer to wait for an update, and an unrealistic side plot to interfere with the storyline I actually care about.
Primarily, my disappointment is entirely with the update schedule, because if I were playing a completed game, I'd be thinking "in a couple chapters, this will probably start to get hot." But, in all likelihood, that means about a year from now, even if I'm expecting them to speed it up to every 3 or 4 months.
Unlike some people here, I'm not expecting Tennessee Williams in my jerk off material. So I'm not worried about such and such being inconsistent or whatever. I'm sure as hell not like some of the idiots here that are straight up angry about it. (And seriously, these are the same people who bitch about having comments deleted or getting banned from discord, but don't for a second think about the fact that they're becoming enraged and making personal attacks over a porn game. Grow the fuck up and move on). That said, I'm not going to to be a patron anymore. At least until there's some track record to go by and I have some idea whether or not I'll be paying for 7 months just to see 20 minutes of Officer Orifice plotting the MC's downfall.

Since you may not be aware, both devs suffered some serious personal issues which is what caused the update to take so long, so this will not be the standard time between updates.

WOW, aside from the obvious (good renders, sounds interesting), I notice two things.
1. It's only version 0.2 and there are 266 pages of comments!
Either people really love this game, or there was some kind of a fight!

Anything I should know before I get hooked on this one?

The constant naming of the ages is part of age play and those of us (me me me me) who put something other than 18 actually get off on it. Like naked feet for foot people.
So please cut us some slack and we will endorse and support your effort to make Natalie's face more wrinkled (if that's what you want).
