Hi, I'm new to this game and just played the first two chapters.

This has probably been asked already, but the topic is too long to look for it...

If the MC's parents are so caring and made sure he had a future, they must have met Gracie because she said she was at his bed in the hospital for a year. They must have talked at some point about who she is, why she is there and must have noticed that she is pregnant at some point.
Wouldn't they have taken care of her and her granddaughters when Gracie got kicked out by her own parents?

/edit:
does anyone have some recommendation for similar games like this?
Not necessary a similar story, I mean for the same audience. (the "I-tag" is a plus, but a possible "L-tag" would be important)
Please no manga/comic style.
That would assume Gracie told them he was the father. She didn't even tell him after he came out of the coma. They could have just known her as a friend of his. Consider also that they may not have been visiting at the same time as her so would they know she was that close to him?

This is just speculation. I don't really understand - from a reality based perspective - why she would never have told him about the girls. But since she didn't, not telling his parents fits.

I view this kind of thing as a convenient story construction. For the proper effect when the girls turn up it had to be that he didn't know about them.
Because...contrived plot to advance story. Story is full of them with holes big enough to drive an artic through.

Unless Gracie actively denied that he was the father, any set of parents observing a heavily pregnant girl visiting their comatose son and crying by his bedside would have to assume that there was something between the two. Because she would not have had the rights to visit the MC in the first place if his parents had not consented to it, Gracie had to have met them.

I think ignoring this plothole makes less sense esp. in the incest storyline. They could have a line explaining that the parents thought that Gracie was a golddigger or a con-artist and sent her packing. On the non-incest storyline even though she isn't pregnant, it is still suspicious if a girl visits your son everyday religioulsy.

I tend to agree with Maviarab that it is a contrived plot to advance the story.

They could assume away. If she denied it or refused to say then it's nothing but assumptions. Just like my assumptions as to why she might not have told them. Or an assumption that by the time she started showing she stopped visiting (do we know how long she visited?)

(aside: Do people really not have the right to visit people in the hospital if they're not family or have consent from family? I've seen that in tv shows but so much "legal" stuff in tv shows is BS used for convenience.)

At the end of the day, it's a convenient story device. We'll likely never get the why and I don't much care. For story purposes, it's what happened.

The problem with making assumptions when the story tells you hard facts.

She visited every day for almost a year. She states this herself in her letter. So she didn't show..she did show...she had them...all the while the parents would have been (assuming...lol) pretty much daily visitors if not by his bedside constantly. What Gracie in her letter fails to mention is having met them, seen them, talked to them or what may or may not have beens said. But to 'assume' they never met in 12 months is a serious stretch and how/why she would exain away her devotion for a year. Simply put, bad writing, plot contrivance to make happen what Damned wanted to happen.

"Proud Father" might be to your liking, the thread on F95 however is locked and not updated anymore due to "L". "Buried Desires" might become another one. Then there would be "Maou Sama", a bit of an acquired taste though.

Thanks, I'll check them out :)

Anyone got more suggestions?

You've got quite a few replies but let me start with this:

If you play the official regular (non-patch) game, Gracie most certainly did have sex with someone almost immediately after the MC went into a coma (the timeline of the two versions are the same). The kids are this other guys' and MC's parents owe her nothing.

Okay...Taboo Patch installed version:

iirc, Gracie was kicked out after her kids were born, by which time she had stopped visiting. i.e. MC's parents would not even know that she'd been kicked out nor have any reason to assume she needed any help.

But let's even put that aside for the moment and first just try to establish what the parents actually did know; There would definitely have been a thorough investigation and a detailed police report when it comes to a fatal car accident...and what would that report say?

The MC left school premises with a Gracie Whateverherlastnameis on the night of xx/yy/zz and arrived at No.x, ABC street at xxxx PM. Witnesses and friends confirm that the young lady was not mister MC's girlfriend nor in any relationship with him whatsoever prior to them being seen leaving together. At approximately xx:xx am, MC was evicted from x, ABC street while clearly under the influence (ref: Attachment 1: Toxicology Report) wherein he proceeded North, turning right on DEF street .... etc.

From MC's parents perspective, how would they react to Gracie based on what they actually know as the facts. Was it:

1. She's the horny bitch who used our son for a quick one night stand, kicked him out and caused his coma?
2. Hey we don't know your sexual history, paternity test or fuck off. (Ah, she left?)
3. Love to help honey but we're broke paying for this and we're kind of actually dying of ill health ourselves right now.
4. If you need anything come to us. (Oops we died before you did, assuming that she even tried).

Take your pick.
...

Last but not least, whos to say that Gracie is even a reliable narrator. Letters asking for something - like a credit line, resume cover letters etc. are notoriously highly exaggerated. Unreliable letters are even used extensively in fiction. The BS letter Lysa sent to her sister Caitlyn Stark about how the previous Hand died to kick start the events of Game of Thrones, for example. So who's to say Gracie's letter is even 100% true? Could she be exaggerating her "devotion" at MC's bedside knowing that in the next paragraph she was going to be asking for a big, big favor? I don't know, that's just another possibility.

We're not told by the devs, but that's OK by me. I'm not in favor exposition dumps unless they are/become plot-critical extending the development cycle for adult games :KEK:

According to discord the next update will be in Nov. So give or take 11-10 months from now.
Screen shot please! When I've asked for someone to back up these kind of claims in the past - I've gotten - 'I'm just kidding' or 'it was sarcastic'.

A screen shot showing one of the two developers saying this would go a long way to showing that your comment is the real deal versus the other comments I've seen before.
Thanks!

Unless these guys plan to go the 'Dual Family' route and just string patrons along forever, I doubt it will be another 11 months before the next update. But then again, nothing should surprise me anymore. Given that Neko Paradise just got an update (with literally 30 seconds of content ), it would seem some of the devs are still actively working.

Doesn't sending a naive, ditzy girl like allison willingly in the world of Modeling equal to presenting the sheep on a plate to hungry wolves. Surely the mc knows the dangers of the industry and he does refer to allison as special for multiple reasons so it would be really stupid for him to assume he would always be there to protect her unless he quits his job and becomes a full time "helicopter parent" type agent.

I don't think the initial intention was for her to become a model. Just take her to a shoot to make her happy. Following from that, if an established female model takes an interest in her and may be in a position to help guide her, well ...

Of course that female model may have eyes for Allison (here's hoping, though I know some won't like it :)) ...

If the MC is exclusivly the one shooting her, I think he would not mind it if she fucks (or get molested by) the photographer later on...
I have a feeling you might be on point with the potential of the dark path in the future. I'm not sure I could stomach that myself. Despite the fact that they're all innocent in my eyes, including Maddie, i'd want to do even less of the morally reprehensible things to the other two. Just because i'm aware of the human condition for some doesn't mean i'd be able to follow through on it myself, maybe i've just got an overdeveloped moral system?

I think Tiffany has eyes for both of them. I definitely have eyes for her.

Not overdeveloped for real life, not at all. But overdeveloped for computer-generated images in porn games, yes. I think you're missing the point of fantasy role-play.
