Yeah, i would gladly put my 4090 into use if it could speed up the release of a AVN or two (like if the dev has a 3060 or something). At least until Diablo 4 comes out :ROFLMAO:
I mean I'm only currently running a GeForce RTX 2070 Super on a laptop, but if I kill some background progs before going to work, I am willing and able to help.
The only catch is the ISDN speeds of my supposed "broadband" on the mountain town upon which I live.

Clearly the solution is for somebody yo design an easy "volunteer" client where we can opt in to donate our spare rendering power to various VN makers. My 3090 is sitting unused entirely 3 days of the week, and only gets 4-5 hours of use on the others. My backup machine isn't quite as good, but it sits idle more like 5 days of the week. If could easily set it up to knock out a few hundred spare renders for somebody, I totally would.

SETI@Home, but for porn renders!
So we will be supporting exploration on the earth as well as the stars.

We won't be looking for just black holes, but a wide (and also narrow) variety of holes from white, brown and tan to pink.

Getting behind those holes should be both fun and entertaining! ;)

Who said the age of exploration is dead...

(TBH - this is a great idea. I don't know if it would help the Radiant team as I don't know where their bottlenecks are but a distributed network of machines doing the render heavy lifting with all work sent to a central server and then zipped and shipped to the appropriate creator... who knows! I could see this helping the Radiant team - any team for that matter - with animations since they can be so processing heavy.)

I would totally sign up for it. I can't spare monthly sub money, but I could contribute via hardware usage.

And as you said, all those holes if various color to be explored. What better pursuit?

The devs would just take your hardware you're supplying to mine crypto currency, and still deliver half of an update every 7 months.
That wouldn't be possible under the system I had suggested. It would be limited to render processing.

The whole idea is a non-starter.
I've read dozens of threads in years past where members volunteered to help out with the rendering directly to a Dev (or at least a dev-teamer). To say all volunteers were quickly snubbed is an understatement.
It seems Devs act like magicians (rebranded as "illusionists", which makes more sense) in that trade secrets are very, very secretive.

That's largely because all people can do presently basically requires having all the resources amd such. If it were more like a SETI@Home arrangement it wouldn't matter as much. Each client would receive X packets to process and send it back to the server when done.

It wouldn't replace a dev's primary rendering needs, but if it could be set up to help with the queue, it wouldn't hurt. Like any project, the most difficult part is figuring out the structure first, and how to integrate with the programs involved.

Use an ad blocker. I use the ad block browser on my phone and have no trouble downloading from them at all.

I use ad blockers as well, but mixdrop is still horrible with all of the windows it pops up and DL's it tries to sneak in each time you try to push the link.

None of the other common ones ever give as much problems as that one, and is to the point if the only option is to use that shitty site, I'll do without whatever it was.

I don't know what to tell you, man. Adblock browser, new tabs never open unless I request them.

Try Filebin:
You have five days before it self-destructs.

This dev struggles to progress 10% a month based on last few months but he said the august date for chapter 6 is still on.

talk about delusional…
