Just finished the game and golly, this one definitely my favorite rance game so far in both the gameplay and story.

Looking up the guide there's apparently different stuff that we could get on new game+ depending on our ending route

Amazing series btw. Legit only played because i was on a dead end on what to play before the release of Trails to Reverie and this ended up being one hell of a ride. Played Rance 5D to IX + the remakes (beside 03) and now I eagerly waiting for MG to finally release the floodgate for Rance X.

Because I mistyped. I meant to write that the translation for the original version was clunky.

And yeah, the freeware version of Rance 3 is definitely showing it's age. The remake will be good provided Manga Gamer doesn't pull more of it's localization bullshit.

Rance has had porn for the sake of porn since the third game with the introductions of monster gal CGs, frozen pictures of naked women, and rance collecting pornos to watch.

Though yeah, the porn is probably the worst part of this game and the character arcs they tried to bring around with them in this game are weird, I'm not really sure why you'd consider it something new.

This game works with Steam Deck with Proton Experimental, 8.0-3, 7.0-6 but DrawMovie3.dll fails to play any of the movies in

/Rance_9_-_The_Helmanian_Revolution_Final_AliceSoft_Pre-installed/Data/Movie/

. You will have to watch these separately as the game progresses.

Workarounds like using DrawMovie3.dll from Evenicle does not work as DrawMovie3.dll on AliceSoft games are made specially for each different game that's released.

Huh? Yes you can NG+, you keep all the characters you unlocked, items, currency etc...

Does anyone know in which free battles the pocky rock monster (The monster which drops Monkey Orbs) appears and what the likelihood of it appearing is? Thus far I've only found it appearing in the first free battle.

I checked the Rance wiki, and there's no info about it except it being a rare spawn. (I keep getting the Golden Box spawn in the first free battle field.)

After seeing it for the first time, you can skip it by pressing any key or clicking on the screen with your mouse. No need to keep seeing the intro
