Entirely true but I just have more fun when I can play games at my own pace without having the lingering thought in my mind that I reached the end of an update at some point.
Also why did I knew that you bring up the argument being them a small studio xD
Everytime I bring up the time issue in long ongoing projects it gets defended with this argument only and I haven't criticised the update formular at all. It is the length from starting a project to bring it to its completion that I question.
Now, you can always correct me if I am wrong I don't mind, but I do believe that 4MinuteWarning consists of 2-4 people. Heck that might not sound much but given most projects on here are one man shows they still have at the end of the day more manpower than most.
No hate or beef with you but let me put my thought process into words below.
F95 is a mixed bag.
Nah man i dont got no Beef either, and thnks for clarrifying that, for some reason people get so defensive and its great to run into someone i dont "Agree with" (if you call this a disagreement) and its just civil conversation.
But to answer that defence question. Its because its ussually less of a defence but an "Answer/Reason." After all 2-4 people IS a small team and expecting super big updates/instantly complete projects is just something that stands to reason for more most people as over expecting.
And to be honset, most people will take your "Feels like a live service" bit as criticism, which we can blame AAA studio's for.
And while im not sure i realy believe most projects having so few people, let alone 4Minute having so few. their decent sized team is largely why have been able to get very consistent updates so far. As up untill either they get hit with sickness, or do postpone for a bigger than ussual update the team has been VERY consistent with provideing updates even if not super large, as aposed to what might be single bigger updates every like half year as we see from a lot of other.
At the end of the day tho, i can respect wanting to enjoy the whole experience at once. But It just didn't sit right with me watching someone walk away from whats been a generally good experience( at least in my opinion, esspecially compared to soooo many other games) almost as if it were being written off as not worth checking out. As someone who's realy enjoyed this game so far, I hope in the future people will still be willing to come back and enjoy this project when its more complete.
