Try SteamFix from original post om Page 1.Can Anyone help me, i'm on mac and when i open the game it just automatically closes it self over and over. I already cleared it in the console, it will just show the icon on the bottom for a second and then closes itself.
i've tried downloading both and neither of them worked, i'm pretty sure they're not working because i'm on mac and they have different file structures and mac doesn't recognize them. through the main download i have an actual icon and game to open and with the fixes its just a white paper icon that doesn't open into anything.Try SteamFix from original post om Page 1.
Wait, why did you specifically quote the only part of my comment that wasn't relevant to your response?Yeah I am fairly certain the only 2 girls which actually aren't really chill with you ar Valzira and Naho, both for very good reasons in fact.
Sabetha and Inej outright consider you a friend during their route, Heloise sees you as a friend as well, the Priest actually sees you as a test of faith but is overall fine with you, Marie-Anne is pretty happy with you and so is Mina, Cooch is a happy drunk, Darja is well... Darja, the femboy Kobold seems happy with the idea of Dragon not being a huge tyrant asshole for once, Maelys can change (either too much or just enough)

The steam DRM Removers are for windows. they modify the .exe file, which is the windows executable.i've tried downloading both and neither of them worked, i'm pretty sure they're not working because i'm on mac and they have different file structures and mac doesn't recognize them. through the main download i have an actual icon and game to open and with the fixes its just a white paper icon that doesn't open into anything.
as far as i know, the steam call comes from the .exe file. if that isn't used on a Mac, (was it the .sh instead or the .py i simply forgot) then there shouldn't be that steam nagger. The steam DRM Removers are for windows. they modify the .exe file, which is the windows executable.
The linux version does not have DRM. And as such does not require a fix to work. (which is what I am using).
No idea if the mac version has DRM or not.

So do you know what i should do, like the game is all cleared and exists it just wont open, no error pop up or anything it starts opening then automatically closes its self. I'm gonna try to redownload it and try again but idk, if it doesn't work again i'm just gonna skip the game unfortunately.as far as i know, the steam call comes from the .exe file. if that isn't used on a Mac, (was it the .sh instead or the .py i simply forgot) then there shouldn't be that steam nagger.
Do you have Steam installed? Who knows if the game checks its presence on the hard drive. It may be a silly idea, but still. So do you know what i should do, like the game is all cleared and exists it just wont open, no error pop up or anything it starts opening then automatically closes its self. yeah i have steam, i got it after the first install, after me reinstalling it the problem is the same. It opens for a second then it instantly closes its self, like the game recognizes its self and opens just to crash right away. idk im just gonna pass on it for now and if i get solid advice maybe ill come back to it.Do you have Steam installed? I don't know a thing about Mac, but on Windows anti-malware can sometimes act like this. Usually it just puts executable into quarantine and give you really loud, brigth and fittingly obnoxious malware warning. But some anti-malware may just blocks the executable and if you missed the message about malware, you may be none the wiser about the blocking.yeah i have steam, i got it after the first install, after me reinstalling it the problem is the same. i've no idea what to use or to do in order to run Ren'Py games on a Mac, sorry. there are some people around who do use Mac, hopefully they jump in on that topic.
i just generally stay away from any apple products.
Thanks that worked, when i launch it through ren'py it actually open.Try this, mac is weird with Ren'py, you have to jump through several hoops to get it to work.
- After downloading and installing Ren'Py for MacOS, move/copy the "renpy-8.x.x-sdk" folder/app in the "Applications" folder (you can put it elsewhere)
- Then move the Windows/Linux Ren'Py game folder in the "renpy-8.x.x-sdk" folder and it showed in the Ren'Py Launcher with the others default existing projects
- Finally, click on "Launch Project" and it seems to work fine
