only 1 virginity lose scene from sharing? really? she is a succubus... it feels very anticlimactic. like, wouldn't there be a sense of finality and lose? wouldnt she talk about it more? mention it while she is doing it and being very slow and precise about the lose of her one and only virginity? it feels like there should be more feelings, idk, like happiness? lethargic? or regret? or anything? its just, yea take my virginity lucius, my guy is cool with it. then instant 3 way, no if and's or but's? im just saying, the first time in any sharing situation could be gold, but damn is it sad to see people with great artistic talent be out shined by their lack of detailed exposition in a given scene with golden opportunities.

I think you're missing the point of what a Succubus is.

She doesn't make a big deal out of it because it isn't. A Succubus is a sex demon, fucking is what they do. Losing her virginity is just a step.

Agreed on this. Val is a bit on the romantic side compared to most succubi it seems, but even then, I can't imagine succubus culture in general treating virginity the same way as some in human society. If anything, losing it probably would just be seen as a routine, expected development once reaching adulthood. Like having your first legal drink or something.

Generally speaking, I prefer handing the decision-making to the player, but I could add an extra option where you can allow her to do what she wants without player approval. Choosing this would result in the sharing scenes being more linear, but some players enjoy the unpredictability that comes from that.

That's nice, but if the player chooses to be loyal to her and she doesn't try to reciprocate, would be sad for the player roleplaying for a sweet story.

If the player is going to dip his hand in the cookie jar, she doesn't have a motive to go against her nature.

I think you misunderstood what they were saying. They are saying that the might consider adding the option to let a player already on a sharing path let Val decide when to engage in sharing content. At the moment, even on the sharing path, there's been a per-scene option that allows the player to decide whether or not to engage in sharing in the scene.

The proposal wasn't to remove that existing choice-making, but to add a new option where a player could willingly relinquish control of when to share on a per-scene level, if that's something they are into.

That said, it also makes sense on the sharing side to have the option there for people who want her to do more on her own. To have her take on a more traditional Succubus role.

That just makes me wish this was a big budget game then though. Then that side of things could play the full role of why a Succubus has so much sex.

The loyal route would see a less powerful version that works more with the group whereas those willing to let her do her thing have a more powerful Succubus that can act on her own against the bigger bads.

I know that's unrealistic here but the possibilities for a Succubus RPG like Vampire the Masquerade would be awesome.

While I personally wouldn't enjoy this as much as I do enjoy the fact the whole sharing thing is entirely optional and doesn't impact the gameplay and story itself (I hate sharing, tbh), I have to admit it is a pretty valid and creative concept in general.

Yeah, a VTMB-like CRPG with a setup like that would be awesome, although I'd worry it would devolve into the usual monogamy=love /open=corruption dichotomy, even if only for balancing reasons, and one thing I really like about Rebel Duet is that avoids that pretty well.

...ok, now I'm imagining a full-fledged succubus and her human lover maneuvering through a setpiece (like an important ball with lots of intrigue behind the scenes) while wingwomaning each other

Most of the sex scenes (including the sharing ones) will receive more dialogue variations in future updates. The Lucius scene is an especially big one, so I'll probably add extra choices and renders to it as well.

Well, the player makes the decision, but in-game, she's the one who decides. Anyway, my preference for NTR is hard to explain. I can only say that I liked it at first, and I liked that the MC didn't use that "I want to see you fuck others" garbage dialogue. Later, it becomes cuckoo interactions.
