For me Victoria Shields is still the most gorgeous, but Jaye is really close and she's perhaps the most photogenic of all, if that makes sense. That speaks volumes of the dev's talent for creating expressive faces and meaningful poses, an ultra-hard task that LeFrench accomplishes like a fucking champ too.
Who's Victoria Shields? Didn't hear of her till now.

He said he would abandon it if not enough support, seems like it's heading this way.

I think the problem with a lot of these up-and-coming AVNs is their price-to-product ratio. Basically every single developer is banking that the Patreon/Subscribestar income will sustain the development, rather than improve it.

I understand the need for financial support, as the copius amounts of rendering needed for projects like these appears to be incredulous. But I have to say, that state of mind only serves to doom most projects before they reach their full potential. Too many people have been burned by undelivered promises and seemingly endless release delays that it gets harder and harder to decide to support newcomers like Le French in their vision of perfection. There are also numerous cases of people just being spread too thin; supporting multiple WIP games can cost you upwards of 30€/$ per month, and the more you discover, the more you are torn apart by the mounting subscription costs.

I am saddened that Le French's Red Lucy might be heading to its premature end, but alas, the circumstances only grow more dire for the AVN world as time goes on.

Developers today need to be able to support themselves more than they ever did, if they ever wish to truly succeed.

Don't get too excited. It'll probably get abandoned, if it hasn't been already.
It won't get abandoned, but rather left in the dust. The developer Le French has stated that the project has become a money drain, and it is not making money for him, i.e. it doesn't have enough support.

So, another game left unfinished for him. Right on. I won't be playing any other by him if that's the case.

Should make the game because you want to make it and tell a story. Financial 'success' is never going to be a guarantee...if that's the goal just don't bother in the first place as the time/cost and effort involved will very quickly make you stop. How many VN's are on this site abandoned after the first or second update by people thinking they can make a bucket load of cash.

And yet, LeFrench has many platforms. Like what development of a game can be tricky.

Mmm ... instead of all this speculation why not ask the dev directly? I see he is very active in his discord:unsure:.
And the thought that people should make games just because they want to tell a story:ROFLMAO: lmaoooooo.
It is too expensive and time consuming for it to be just that, it is not wrong for devs to have certain expectations when it comes to money, after all thats the main goal for 99%+ of devs here. No one is going to be wasting hours and hours of writing+rendering making a porn game just for the sake of "art". If you dont monetize it, it is a waste of time. Happens with music, books, everything. Devs should just be careful when managing expectations and not try to put all their eggs in one basket because then you end up with abandoned projects.

If you make a, AVN exoecting to make a shit tonne of cash...you are going to be very...very...very disappointed. That's a fact. Adult VN's are like Only Fans girls...only a very small minority actually manage to make money out of it...the rest just pick up whatever is left.

So again, for the uneducated in life...make the VN because you want to make it and want to tell a story. Yes, it can be classed as art. If you finish it..and people like it..then maybe you'll start making money and your second project will hit the ground running. You really think all authors think they will make the big time instantly? Most can't even get a damn publisher for their first work.

Damn I wonder what kind of brain damage would lead you to think that some dude will dedicate several hours a day + heavy investment in equipment and resources to a project just because they "wANt to TeLL a StoRy". My god, thats some delusional shit or maybe just underage naivety, and not knowing how adult life works.
