I've just left the Discord server because even all the game related channels have been shut down during the week.
The place is basically dead now.
What a waste.
Anyway...

This is a pretty weird scenario I heard of devs ghosting before but not where they are half in half out type ghosting. Like the Dev for demon who dissapeared.

Lol this happens so often to me XD a game comes out with a unique hot ass character i love, and before we get to really get to the good hot stuff game goes cold. Worst luck

I feel bad for the people in the community who not only supported this project, but those who were trying to make the discord group a positive place. Even after the ghosting. And I mean they still can regardless of Red Lucy, but they must feel disappointment aswell

When such a project goes public, it gains a lot of social connections, a community that supports it not only financially. So it is not quite right to say that the project belongs only to its developer - the developer may have the right to decide the fate of the project on a personal basis, but he should at least inform the community about it. But apparently LeFrench is not such a person. He's decided that since he's not legally obligated to do anything, he doesn't have to do anything at all. And that's that.

In fact, it seems to me that Red Lucy was never a passion project for LeFrench. He definitely has skills in 3dcg and decided to make some money out of it. Over time, the project became a burden for him, and as soon as his financial situation improved, he immediately abandoned it. The project has done its job and should be forgotten.
