As its only V.02, its kind of hard to say anything is unneccessary or wasted effort. The game is probably going to have a major part of the ongoing plot (the title of this game is the title of that game too which probably isn't a coincidence). We are REALLY early into development and it was a really long intro so I understand why you feel that way, but I've got faith that probably within 4-5 updates we'll see the game coming back into play. I'm actually thinking that even if the MC wanted to get into the game, he hasn't been "dead" long enough (the red card I think was said to ban player for 6 months and its only been 3 or 4 since the coma). Alternatively, he may need to get Quanto (his AI) back first as it may be based off his brainwaves and not the body that he's in. Curious to see which route the dev goes.

But on the other side it is what makes this game kind of unique and if you sit through it you will be rewarded with maybe the best looking red heads in adult games And we will see what the future will bring, especially with the next update. The next update will finally start the Prii path

Good question, I kind of hope not, but if it is then something like you can control people through the game, when they are using that VR gear.
The computer gives hints as to where and when you should look for something. The game will tell you when you've run out of content.
