I like you not resorted to the mainstream monsters and actually disappointed we got the Nosferatu. I like you made orcs bad ass and a succubus with empathy and can't wait to see take on the Faun.
I only disappointed at end as the standing around talking to Vamps really did not suit the characters involved. To come in threatening MC vassals I not see MC giving a second warning, and the orcs would not have waited for MC to come from main room and attacked as soon as saw the Nosferatu (especially Sammy and his protective nature of Sister). MC would also not be stopping to think about Liz, because of his past and what his father did when he procrastinated with fiancee/girlfriend, he has been unwavering in throwing himself headfirst to protect those he cares about and sort out details after and if they crossed him unmerciful and swift in retribution. Easy to overlook though as it was the cliff hanger to end chapter and the extra work in doing a fight that led to the bad guys escaping with Liz probably a bit much work.

I mostly agree these guys would pounce on the vampire in the last scene to protect the people at the party, although i can forgive that if we get an awesome throw down in the next chapter.

Exactly, still an awesome game with delectable twist on old lore. Sometimes time management means we just can't do all we want and still keep story progressing as fast as we want. Dropping an action scene to ensure story progression and solid H content is pretty solid logic and I sure rendering the magic scenes is even slower than H scenes.
EDIT I also have big soft spot for Liz and idea of her possible fate in Vamp hands while MC is sitting on arse thinking and discussing with his bloody Aunt when he already said he do everything to protect city and screw his family does leave bad taste. If first Liz H scene is getting used as fuck toy for Vamps I will sulk for a week.

I am a fan of the Classic Monsters (Wolf-Man, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Creature-Black Lagoon. Etc, etc.) So I added the Nosferatu and Vampire genre to put my own little twist on them.
As for the ending, trust me I wanted to have Sammy and Marena ‘Orc-out’ and attack. But Overtime at work had me exhausted, and I didn’t want to go all out and make you fill all ‘amped’ (Not sure if that’s the correct word to use here.) for the fight scene only for them to get away in the end.
Not going to happen, I am not a fan of NTR, and she is one of the LI so I wouldn’t do that to you guys. That being said. Story-Wise, there will be a reason for it being stopped/prevented.

I am sure you won't disappoint with the twist either.
I did suggest it was a time issue rather than story and relieved to have it confirmed. Back in my GM days did the same a few times myself.
I was not really expecting Liz to be abused with your writing and was bad attempt at humour. I actually not even expecting Liz to need rescuing and actually feel a little sorry for the Vamps now she seen the deception and knows what has been done to fiancee. Even if she is a ghoul they not going to temper that wrath lol. The moment they forced a conflict of loyalty between Gab and MC they lost her.

I didn't write in this thread, I think, and I feel like I should tell a few words.
This game has the best-written story of absolutely all Western VNs and most of the Asian ones. So many details and so rich game world - I think even Obsidian would be jealous of something like this. I like how complex that whole world is. Somebody said how it reminds them of "Lucifer" and yeah - MC and his GF are sorts of similar to that show but - I think I found much more resemblance in the novels and stories by Roger Zelazny, especially his Amber Chronicles.
Models are nice and mostly unique - Nessa is gorgeous. So many different exteriors and interiors - beautiful.
That said, there is just one tiny problem and I think that could be a reason why this game isn't at the top of F95zone and Patreon NSFW threads - and that's the title. "Reluctant Archon" doesn't really create a curiosity amongst potential players. Even I didn't know about this masterpiece until one of my friends recommended it. Well, now we're stuck with that name - and it's perfect for us who played the game - but, unfortunately, it's not that eyecatching for regular users.
At the end, I can just repeat once more: an absolutely fantastic game.

That is high praise, indeed. I hope I can live up to/meet future expectations. I have not read that one yet(Amber Chronicles). If I find it translated into my language, I will start reading it. If not, I will give it a slow read after I am done with his Lord of Light.
As for the name…. I was having a hard time coming up with a fitting one. I called it Reluctant Archon because during the eight years before the Player joins. The MC never wanted it, especially at the price that was ‘paid’ for him to awaken as one. And did all he could to deny it and ‘bury’ what he was deep down. The Story has gone through some changes since then, but I just kept the name in the end. Hopefully, people just ignore the name and try it out for themselves. Lol, (wishfully thinking, at it’s best.

MC said he didn't save her because she brought vampires into his friends home.
He barely knows her nor how involved she is with the vamps.
I wouldn't have saved her either, if he had Sam would probably have killed her for endangering his wife.

I just finished the ch2 version yesterday and liked the game so far. Its some kind of Fables with porn ^^ - Maybe the overpowered MC is a problem because apparently nothing can really harm him, but ok - in the end most of these games are some kind of power fantasy.

Well you can't be killing the MC in the middle of the game - even 18 yo virgins living with mom and sis don't die in these games- Maybe the overpowered MC is a problem because apparently nothing can really harm him, but ok - in the end most of these games are some kind of power fantasy.
That said, he was reluctant to fight the vampires right out of the gate, his dad is likely still stronger than he is, and if the sniper bullet had hit his head that time he'd be dead so he's not quite all-powerful yet.

Holy SHIT this game is good. Like unbelievably good. Like WOW. Continue! This plotline is AWESOME.
