in other words nobody that has that information has come to share it anywhere...so we have no idea if they died or not...

from what I remember, awhile back someone was talking about doing a remake of this game but it would take awhile since the models were heavily customized so they had to do some work to find the right ones

well main problem besides models is plot and copyrights belong to dev still.

well for scifi there are several options, for fantasy selection is much smaller. head to recommendations and ask.

ofc it wouldnt be the same, but that doesnt mean it couldnt be good, fun, and/or similar. Sadly there are a ton of hurdles for anyone trying

assets, even some idea where game was going, copyrights (we don't know if dev is dead or not or if he has kids/relatives his things if he's dead), etc.

easier to start new game from scratch.

It wouldn't need to be exactly someone taking the game from where it stopped and trying to lead the story to where they think it would go. It could be someone taking the initial plot, coping it, and then telling their own story based on it.
