Not haveing a go but in fairness I have to point out the flaw's in you theory.You miss my point.
From the OUTSIDE she has every right to be pissed (from her perspective that is not even a question).
You look at that with the knowledge of the player that she murdered the mom. But as I said earlier - imagine you are a neighbor or something like that and you hear about it by gossip.
The beautiful wife with her sweet daughters, that helped him after the tragic death of his first wife, who spent the last 12 years with him, gets barley nothing and the son gets 99%.
Without the magical dream and backflashes (and her talking about her murder every 2nd scene) you would not know that. And yes she is (as I said) stupidly evil (bc bad writing) - so there is no chance to root for her - just because. But you could achieve that with a better build up.
And yes - I know it is "just a porn" game and its the typical kind without any care about stuff like character arcs, motivation and development, suspension of disbelief or other things.
Its basically a slideshow with porn style dialog and text. "Why are you wearing a mask?" - "Why is there straw?" *fucking*
I am aware that I over analyse the plot and character motivations - but that is fun - and no, I have no intention in trolling. I just want to point out how you can improve your stories - not for this game, but maybe for the next (if the dev is reading here - dunno, dont care - maybe other devs can understand my point ^^)
So maybe I should rephrase my earlier statement - "I COULD root for her, with better writing and if she wasn't as stupidly evil as she is, because from an outside perspective she has the right to be pissed."
As a neighbour there is every chance in the last 12 years you have met the Step mom's loveble attitude to anyone she deems even slightly below her.which it later apears is everybody except her self and the mobster she calls Papi and sometime's even him when he won't do what she want's but thats beside the point.
On top of that unless the Neighbours house is far enough away there is little chance they wouldn't of heard at least one screaming argument involving his potty mouthed step mom and her girls.
Plus I'f you include and factor in the rather undesirable boys and loud music pool parties her little angles have been allowed to have for sometime now.
Well as I said unless this hypothetical neighbour of your's has actually never met the Step mom in the 12 years of living next door and by next door I mean down the street.
I would hazard a guess that loveing wife is not one of the words they would think of when describing the Step Mom.
Not even sure nice lady would make the list either.
No offence but its hard to hide the bitch inside and the step mom strikes me as someone that dosn't bother to try.
But of corse if your actually saying this Hypothetical neighbour of your's is stone deaf, partly blind and some what slow witted then sure I can totaly see your thinking at the end.
P.S. no offence intended every one is entitled to there own opinion after all.
Pluss even though I say all this I actually like the game myself.
