Fuck my last reply didn't send ought, my file is apk not exe does this matter? Can you post the log file? Located in the same folder as the .exe file.
Android 11 doesn't work!!!! Please fix!
First step is make sure that you have "Allow App Installation from Unknown Sources" turned on. I'm not some big publisher, and I don't run my release by big daddy google (and not on the play store) so my apps will be flagged as Unknown.
You may get an "Unsafe app blocked" message, with the button "Got it" at the bottom. Instead, click the tiny "more" button, and under that the tiny "Install anyway" button. Because of this whole process, if you are updating, google might comeback and say there is a conflict, in which case, you will need to uninstall the previous version. This will kill your saves, so you should back those up first (internet will tell you how).
Additionally, you can also allow "unknown" apps. The fastest way to do this is go to setting and search for "unknown", find the entry under "Biometrics and Security". Scroll down in the list until you find "My Files" (or similar) and set allow. This sometimes worked for me, and sometimes I was forced to uninstall.
If you can't get the app to launch, you need to make sure you have enough space for the system to unpack it. The APK is roughly around 1GB and it will take at least 1GB when installed, but you will need to make sure you have at least 3 times the space (3GB). I'm not sure why android does this, but I have seen it happen.
Lastly, if you can get the app to open, but it has some problem (either preventing you from playing, or crashing, or something) then I'll need some info to help troubleshoot the issue. The main thing I need is the log file, which you can find in:
/Internal storage/Android/data/com.nightmirror.rmawh/files/log.txt
This folder needs to be accessed from a computer as it is protected while on the device itself. Android version and device model can also both be helpful, but keep in mind that my "tools" for making the APK is only the Ren'py SDK and a single click button with limited setting.
It won't let me copy my log file unfortunately, followed a guide online cos I didn't know how to do it but what you need doesn't show for meLoneVoyeur
As a new account, I don't think you can post links yet. Copy/paste the file text inside a spoiler tag and I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what the issue is.
Android is a bit more of a hassle/mess:
Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of support I can provide for android users. I make the APK because it is an extra click, but so far the platform has been... well, honestly a pain in the ass.It won't let me copy my log file unfortunately, followed a guide online cos I didn't know how to do it but what you need doesn't show for me
Yeah that is what it said and I don't have a PC, its strange because I've got the actual game on apk and that works just fine but this one is just not having it. No worries it ain't your fault, shame really cos I was interested in your changes and Ferdafs is really poor on when the updates are comingUnfortunately, there isn't a lot of support I can provide for android users. I make the APK because it is an extra click, but so far the platform has been... well, honestly a pain in the ass.
Without a log file, I don't have any clue as to what is causing your issue, and can't really troubleshoot the problem.
Again, the log file should be located at:
/Internal storage/Android/data/com.nightmirror.rmawh/files/log.txt
Which CANNOT be accessed from the device itself, but must be opened via a PC.
i pretty much agree with that - since there is no downside i would be for itThis seems a bit foolish to ask. The audience will always support promises of general improvements since the audience isn't the one doing the work. There is no downside for them to say yes so long as the main content isn't delayed.
That aside, I don't really consider the current scenes to be so sacred that they are untouchable so I wouldn't mind changes, but I wonder if that time wouldn't be better spent creating new content. I don't mean new sex scenes that require art, I'm talking about new dialogue that isn't necessarily tied to current scenes. Personally I wouldn't mind more scenes with Morty talking to Morticia and/or Summer about unrelated topics. I crave more world building in between the daily hijinks so it doesn't feel like Morty is having a constant back-to-back nonstop chaos of a life. Other people might consider that to be boring "filler" though.
Also what is the current problem with music?
That is the main thing we are trying to assess here, how attached players are to the current dialogue/narration, specifically the words/terms used in it.That aside, I don't really consider the current scenes to be so sacred that they are untouchable so I wouldn't mind changes
That's more complicated. While I do plan to continue expanding content throughout the game, that process will come more as a "when I find something I really want to do" as opposed to just add more to add more. At the end of the day, things I want to spend my time on have to be things I find fun and enjoyable (or have to be done to keep the game working).but I wonder if that time wouldn't be better spent creating new content. I've talked about this pretty extensively already (and whenever I talk big changes, players (often) inevitably say, spend that time on music instead). But here is the short version (well as short as I can ever make anything):Also what is the current problem with music?
It mostly depends how attached people are to the current script. Which, based on two replies doesn't seem that attached? It is something very hard to judge looking from the inside out, so your feedback on it is very helpful!i pretty much agree with that - since there is no downside i would be for it
There are some new ones in the next update, and will most likely be more going forward.also i liked when u animated a few scenes urself (like the one in the shower) more of that would be appreciated

It is what it is, limited by both my own time/desire and Ferdafs update speed. Even if I did get a full time artist, this wouldn't become a full time project for me. As I've said before, as long as Ferdafs keeps going, so will this game. And when the unity version stops, so will this project (again, if it's ever abandoned, we'll do our best to put an end on it). Just the nature of what this is.My thing about this project that I'm curious about is the objective here: this is a Renpy remake of a Unity ported game made by another creator of whom either acknowledged you or doesn't and then there's their inconsistent updating of their own game. I feel like the Renpy remake should be it's own thing using assets to build upon the Unity version and go off script, as it were, and keep things fresh and explore different avenues. We're not monetarily compensated for this project nor do we take away anything from the Unity version as both are a parody.
And given the nature of the game, we can say both are canonically accurate to the lore as multiverses mirroring each other but one does something different than the other. But still give credit where credit is due in ALL respects to Ferdafs for laying the ground work.
I feel as if Ferdafs shackles the progress of Renpy when they don't update theirs in a timely fashion and we could pursue alternative methods of getting progress without needing a full game to update
And you've remade it in the style of Escher how did you get hung up on that detail ?...just with the right pillar touching the roof of the room.
Thanks for the image, as it is only in one (maybe 2?) Scene I think I'll leave it as is for now.Hey, I was wondering if you can add this image, it's just an edited version of the school library interior, just with the right pillar touching the roof of the room. If you like, I've added both images so you can compare them.
Sincerely, Soup. "You know, I'm something of an artist myself."
