Yes and no. I can think of some top tier projects that now are clearly stalling and the execution, while technically very high, start to feel lazy and uninspired. Sometimes crap projects take forever and when they are out the output is even crappier then the last time, which is not the case of Ripples, which has a fantastic story, sometimes high quality project release at a steady pace with a lot of content each time, but 4-5 years are a geological age both in the gaming industry and in the professional life of a skilled person. It's unlikely to think that a project can keep on the effort and the quality for such a long span of time. Just think about how many project got abandoned, how many had a sudden rushed ending and how many just go on slow an directionless. How few, instead, got to the end withoutHave you noticed its the VNs with a focus on high quality renders/animations and story and characters that take a while to update? Probably a bit of a correlation there.
